Upon first hearing about Tacos el gordo I cannot lie I was skeptical. I heard about this place from a friend back home. And although I trust her opinion I had to take it with a grain of salt knowing she was from Arizona. Anyways upon approaching this hole in the wall I was drawn by the smell and lack of line. The simplicity of the menu and lack of distracting decor began to earn my trust as I entered the door. A few options on the menu, perfect for someone like me who is easily over stimulated. At first glance you can spot their speciality recommendation, the spicy pork (what they are famous for) within 20 seconds of ordering the meet had been cut off the rotating brisket, slapped on a warm soft corn tortilla (doubled up for protection), and lathered with cilantro onion and a signature green sauce. The price was only 4$ and before you know you’re at the salsa bar, where fresh radishes and thinly sliced limes await you. I was impressed by the fact you could literally take an entire radish… for free. We headed upstairs to enjoy our meal and a ice cold beverage. My only complaint was that I wish I had spent more time here.

Easily the BEST birria tacos in the Southbay. A must have Birria with tripe or Birria with tongue They also have a really good Shrimp Ceviche and AMAZING clamatos???? A hidden Gem forsure.
I have never ate at this food truck.My review is in regards to the person who is driving the van today at 1: 40pm down Palm Ave. Just because you put on your turning signal does not give you the right to maneuver over and almost hit somebody and then put your brakes on. Please when you're in a company vehicle you should drive properly even more. I have two children in the car and currently pregnant. Like seriously.
