This is the best Indian food I've been able to find in CA! I ordered via Postmates and the food came quickly and was still super hot upon arrival. Highly recommend their dinner plate - it's a fairly large portion and was delicious. Special shout out to their saag, naan, & desserts. Will definitely be ordering again!

I really enjoyed this place. After traveling all around the world, my husband and I have been searching for some delicious and authentic Indian Food. I would say this place takes first place for San Diego. All the food was fresh and delicious, and the staff was all very kind and knowledgeable about their food. Definitely recommend.

From the first moment you come to that place the waiters give you an agreeable feeling. Very hospitable waiters, it is a nice place to go out with buddies or with your date. Excellent cuisine, talented chef de cuisine, modest pay and attentive service. Warmly recommended.

The food was outstanding. When you taste the food you feel like you are in the best parts of India. Amazing food. Amazing service. I encourage you to visit and try what they have to offer.

Food was very authentic, tasty and well cooked, no fusion here. After wiping out our dishes we ordered gulab jamuns and they were the best after my mom's. They took me down memory lane. Best food overall. Hospitality is fantastic too.

The best Indian food in San Diego (trust me I’ve been to manyyyy others)- their speciality dish (in my humble opinion), is the chicken Tikka sizzler- It is absolutely delicious!! Their food tastes like a home cooked meal, never using any food coloring msg etc. Do yourselves a favor, and eat here ASAP :).

Outstanding food. No alcohol but that can be overlooked given the quality of food

This place is tremendous! At the suggestion of the server we tried the "paper masala dosa" (off menu) and it was the length of the table and delicious. We also had the chicken tikka masala and garlic naan on the side. Needless to say we left very satisfied and it didn't break our wallet. Excellent service. Highly recommend.

It was my third time here hoping things would be different but it was the same. Quantity is less and price is high compared to other Indian places around. The food is also just average. The order takes a while too given not that many people in the restaurant.

One of the best Indian restaurants in San Diego and the food is consistently delicious. The prices are reasonable and you get a good portion. The chicken tikka masala, the butter chicken, the masala dosa, the samosas are all delicious. You will not be disappointed when you come here. The owner is very cordial and inviting and he gives great suggestions on what to eat for the day. Me and my family always do dinner here because lunches are packed from the Qualcomm building across the way.

I was looking for a last-minute choice for valentines dinner with my wife. Earlier I had decided on one of the casino buffets but my wife was working late. One of her favorites was Indian food and I just found Taj Mahal around the way from us. Since it is situated in Sorrento Valley, it was possibly meant to draw the working crowd from the immediate area. Lunch there usually is a buffet but dinner was ala carte and probably better than the buffet. Personally I only preferred dining on Indian food in England (yea I'm kinda spoiled like that...) but this food didn't disappoint. We ordered the Chicken Biryani, basically a chicken and rice dish but up 6 notches from that. We also ordered fish curry and a chicken saad-a sauce made with spinach. We ordered way too much along with garlic naan and decided to take home what we didn't finish and ordered more naan. While it wasn't busy on a special night like valentines it probably will be by next valentines. It is a diamond-in-the-rough that will become a local favorite.

Meh. I think it depends on what you order. My wife's dosa was 4-star, but my vegetable korma was 2-star (frozen peas, corn and carrots). The buffet didn't look very interesting. I think Ashoka the Great in Little India is overall better value and better food.

We had an amazing dinner here last night with our daughters. Food was delicious all around. We had a nice variety of dishes from Paneer Sizzler to Masala dosa. Everything was delicious. You can taste the ghee base for all dishes, not oil. Makes such a difference. By far the best Indian food we have found in San Diego. Can't wait to go back!
