High quality ramen and great selection of types to choose from.

Ordered take away with two beers. Both came in plastic bottles and in the same bag with hot soups.

I called and they refunded the beers. However they didn’t say the beers wouldn’t come in the original glass bottles and they didn’t think cold beer should be put in a different bag as a hot soup.

The portion of soup in each order is way smaller than the portion you would normally get dining in.

My coworkers and I weren’t baffled on the costumer service we had . Two appetizers came after the ramen . My coworker ramen was cold(room temp) and waiter stated they were unable to remake or reheat when the other ramens were steaming . And it wasn’t even that busy today to be overwhelmed and unapologetic

Ive had ramen from Tajima about a dozen times since they opened. I would say they have the 5th-6th best ramen in San Diego. It’s not mind blowing but decent if you can’t get to the other good spots. Atmosphere is great with moody lighting, tables, and counters. Service can be hit or miss.

I've rated various ramen-ya in San Diego, and this is the closest I've found so far to what you might find in Japan (I lived there two years and have visited a half dozen other times). We also had the vegetable gyoza, which were also respectable. Would return. One obvious difference from Japan, there is very low salt in the tonkatsu broth, and you can (should?) salt it to taste. There is a jar of sea salt flakes on the table. Pork is a bit different, but good. Overall, the closest I've found so far. Everything made from scratch, which is *not* the case at some others. Service was good.

I always have a great experience here. The creamy chicken ramen is my favorite. The service is always awesome and the food comes out fast!

I have to start of by saying I love Tajima, so far I have tried many ramen spots and this is still my favorite. The service is always good and everyone is super sweet. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because the serving sizes have gone down drastically. I always get the chicken karaage and the white Tajima ramen which are always both amazing but the last few times I’ve gone in the serving sizes keep getting smaller and smaller. When I first went I could hardly finish a bowl of ramen and the chicken. Now I feel like I could eat 2 bowls of ramen and the chicken just to be full haha. Side note…I also miss the bean sprouts they used to put in the ramen before they switched it to corn.

Ordered the spicy sesame ramen with corn and onions. The spicy overwhelmed the flavors. It used to be a better ramen but over the years the spicy has drowned out the balanced flavors of the sesame and other vegetables. Service was slower than expected but super nice. The spicy tuna crispy rice is a winner appetizer must get.

I had the Carnitas Ramen, and it was delicious. The service and recommendation from Yuto H. was appreciated. I'll definitely visit this location and highly recommend a visit.
