Sampled a few different tacos. All edible for sure, but husband got a chunk of bone in his Pollo one and just generally lacked luster. There are better tacos in San Diego for sure, this one is a skip for me.

Delicious! Friendly, quick service, unpretentious. Birria and el pastor tacos were just delicious. I'd skip the pollo. Can't beat the price! Generous portion of meat, and also loved the topping bar in the back. Can't wait to go back!

They forgot about my order. It had been about 25 min. Been here before. It usually only takes 10 min. It was not busy. When the female cook asked how much time it had been, she laughed when the woman who tooky order told her twenty something minutes in Spanish. There was no apology from anyone!
When I was waiting I saw the the female cook go to fix her sock that was falling off her foot, she looked around first and saw me looking that way, then she stopped and took her gloves off, then fixed the sock then washed her hands way to fast, it looked like she didn't even use soap, just a little water, then gloves back on.
I used to like this place , won't be going back sadly.

I ordered a regular burrito, it came with meat, guacamole & pico de gallo. I had to pay extra for cheese and rice. The burrito didn’t taste good. My first bite was all tortilla and cheese. The burrito was huge but the flavors didn’t go well together. I wouldn’t not return. I ended up wasting the burrito because I couldn’t get over the taste of it.

Been eating here for a few years (most recently 7/24). Pretty chill Mexican spot. The workers/cooks are always nice. Got the taco combo (Al pastor and carne asada). Everything per usual is fantastic and very flavourful They have a salsa bar in the back but I do want to note the salsas that were labelled as mild were kind of spicy and more like medium (but then again I'm more sensitive to capsaicin ) Also this place used to be one of the cheapest places to eat at but this year I was shocked. Nearly $18 for a two taco combo (it does come with chips, rice, refried beans, and a drink)

I will give them another chance, but this time around I wasn't satisfied. I had 3 tacos, cabeza, lengua, and tripa. The only one that i liked was tripa nicely crunchy. The tongue will not be getting again, head was good I was just disappointed with the giant piece or cartilage they put on my taco. My wife had carne asada and she liked it, the aguas frescas were good. I will try one more time the downtown taqueria another shot to see if they can change my review. I will try the national city taqueria as well and compare them. But as of now I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.
