I’m really disappointed with my experience at taste of thirst in San Diego. As a long-time customer, I’ve spent a lot of money here, but yesterday was my last visit.
I was treated poorly by a bartender named Stephnie. I was simply drinking water and charging my phone while deciding what to order, and she embarrassed me for not ordering right away. It felt like I was being judged for not buying something immediately, which was really frustrating.
Some of the bartenders have been nice, but others have given me side-eye and made me feel unwelcome. I shouldn’t have to feel uncomfortable in a place I used to enjoy. I won’t be coming back.

So im a regular late night bar eater/ drinker. I've been to many late night joints grabbing food and a drink sitting at the bar. Taste & Thirst was top notch from the moment I walked up to the doors late on Sunday evening. From the front door staff and waitress to the burger and the cold beer it was great. But the real green here was the amazing gal running the bar, as far as bar tenders go she was one of the top. Super friendly, even for me as a stranger, attentive great attitude and you could tell from how many regulars where their and how they interacted with her that she was just genuinely a cool person. If i lived here in San Diego this would definitely be on of my regular spots. And if i ever make it back here I'll absolutely be stopping in. Thanks for the great experience!

We just stopped in for happy hour. Our server was nice and the lemon pepper fries were good. I got the hawaiian mule and it was delicious! Not super kid friendly and most of the tables are high-tops
We were visiting San Diego from NY for a little getaway and wanted to go somewhere in the gaslamp on our last night there. My husband is extremely picky with food. After looking at places and reviews, we chose Taste and Thirst. Excellent choice! Food was great and staff was just as great! Fun atmosphere as well. We will definitely return on our next visit to San Diego.

Taste & Thirst in the Gaslamp is such a great spot in downtown San Diego. The food and drinks were on point, full of flavor and really satisfying. The vibe was fun but still comfortable, perfect for hanging out with friends.
What made the visit even better was the service. Roman was so nice and welcoming from the start. He really made us feel taken care of and made the whole experience more enjoyable.
I’ll definitely be coming back here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good time in the Gaslamp.

I really enjoyed T&T! The carne asada fries were the star of the show for us. Fire bar food options, I appreciated the menu and prices. The only complaint I have is it was so loud that it was very difficult to hold conversation easily. The service was however, exceptional. I will for sure return, but just know you’ll have to get really close towards someone’s ear and shout/repeat things over and over again.
