- CONSISTENT in selling BAD CUTS of tuna. - small serving sizes - CLUELESS cashiers who consistently mess up my order (cashiers incorrectly input my order request into the register) - Do not come here at the END of the day- you will get the leftover cuts of meat from the daytime, the ones they keep choosing not to cut, or have sat under the lamp all day (they take the good cuts home themselves) - Don't let all these positive reviews FOOL YOU - a lot of these reviews are from when the company was under DIFFERENT MANAGEMENT (before it went corporate) when there was attention to detail and the customer was #1. Since then quality has gone way downhill overall in customer service and in preparation of food.
The Mission Valley location is run the best out of all the Tender Greens in San Diego County. There's other options:

This Tendergreens has that “home away from home” feel. There is great variety, the food is delicious, fairly priced, and the staff is all so friendly and welcoming. I had been away from home for awhile due to work, eating out can get old quick, and sometimes you want to avoid such glutinous meals. Tendergreens makes their meals just how I would make them at home. Simple proteins, fantastic sides, and the right side portions that won’t have to feeling like you have to get rolled out of the place. 10/10 recommend this place to any person looking for a healthy / home cooked feeling meal.

So good! The food was delicious and there were healthier options. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was a chill vibe and looked like a popular Friday night spot for both date night and families. I had the sea bass with heaping sides of vegetables. Very blood sugar friendly.

I had a salad with chicken. I should have asked for extra protein. My companion had the steak plate. My friend's food looked better than mine. When I order, the server asked if I wanted the bread. Which I declined. The salad was made up of large pieces of salad greens. Very large. I don't like needing to cut my salad with a knife in order to fit the greens in my mouth. I do enjoy the steak plate. This was the first time I ordered the salad. I won't order it again. When I got home, I needed to eat a second lunch.

The last two times I ordered the California Bowl, I didn’t feel as satisfied as before — it felt like there wasn’t enough food. Also, the amount of protein was reduced by around 50%.
