Husband and I came for New Years Eve dinner. We were seated in a booth with a direct view of the beautiful Christmas Tree. Gorgeous holiday ambiance. Basket of delicious focaccia bread brought to table. Server, although friendly, polite, and helpful, was borderline too sweet. Explained menu options, and took our drink order. Returned with husbands wine, and took entire dinner order - which was soup/salad, main course, and dessert. Server offered to bring a 2nd basket of focaccia...
The setting is beautiful, inside a lovely hotel. I decided to spend the night at the hotel because the rate was beyond reasonable and it's just such a nice property. The food was excellent -- had Beef Wellington. Everyone at the table loved the food. And Carla provided the perfect balance of service, attentiveness and "backgroundness" if you know what I mean. The perfect place for our family Christmas dinner!
Upon arrival... we were ignored for 10 minutes until the bartender came over and asked if we've been helped... there was NO ONE at reception. This place is more of a Hotel Cafe than a nice restaurant.. no white table clothes tables.. it's an overrated cafe at best..
