Absolutely awesome experience! Had a comfortable, clean, casual setting with lovely customer service. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. They also have a new discounted happy hour menu which is convenient and yummy! I would 100% recommend to come here and try their food! It is one of favorite restaurants now !I even forgot to take a picture of the food since it was so good.

Chris VPosting publicly across GoogleFoodServiceAtmospherethai taste, thirty-plus yearsof the best thai food i havefound in san diego county!Moved back to San Diego and before I even started to unpack boxes, made the drive from Ocean Beach out to Thai Taste. In 22 months living out of California, I was in San Diego 18 times...and each time, I went to Thai Taste. The restaurant looks like a hole in the wall and I have had several friends I gave the address to say it took them several tries to find.I have had an ongoing challenge with the kitchen each time I come in...and it is to make Som Tom as spicy as they know how. Once again, Thai Taste has succeeded in eclipsing the previous version. The folks there have given me the service I have become accustomed to, quick and cheerful,To shake things up a bit, I tried their Chicken Gra Prow and Panang Curry, both at 7 spicy. Their regular scale is 1-5, and staff shared that anyone ordering 6 or 7 are aware that the spiciness of these dishes will be off the radar. Of course, I ordered the Som Tom, which I order at 10, and have yet to be disappointed. After spending significant time in both northern and southern Thailand, as I see it, this is the most authentic representation of Thai cuisine I have found in the US. The ingredients are always fresh, the preparation and presentation authentic and the prices are certainly good. The one possible challenge I have for Thai Taste is to update the dining room. Everything is clean, it just looks old.Keep it up, Thai Taste!Parking: Free and abundant.

I love this place. I live nearby so I’ve been here often and and it is always really great. Portions are big too. I usually get the pad see Lew with chicken.

It's ok for a hole the wall dive of a Thai food place. I order springs rolls, drunken noodles, Tom kah, chicken satay among other things. The spring rolls are basic. Not any veggies inside other than carrots. They are 90% sprouts. If you order online and ask for substitutions they ignore your request. The Tom kah soup is ridiculously overpriced for the size.

I frequent this spot! It's such a great place, I love the ambiance and the service is always fantastic. The guy with glasses that works only on the weekends is so sweet, he goes above and beyond. The food comes out hot and delicious each time. The curries are delicious, it comes with a lot of broth, I usually just ask for extra veggies. Just got the yum plamuk salad and it did not disappoint. Prices and portion sizes are great too!

Food was great until I saw something black in my pad Thai noodles. Moved the food around to see what it was and it was a dead fly! Gross.

Their fresh spring rolls are huge! The Pad Thai is very well made. I really like the Krab Rice too. Hubby enjoyed the Massaman Curry. The food seems nice & fresh. We did not eat in so can't speak to that. Take out was great.

It's super solid, number 2 spice is probably more like a 3 so be careful. Our go-tos are drunken noodles and green curry. I wish they delivered but they're super quick so pick up is an easy option.Vegetarian options: Sometimes I just crave tofu and it's a great sub

Ingredients weren't fresh. There were ingredients in the food that were unexpected as they weren't listed in the food description online. Not a fan overall. Will not be a returning customer.

Great price point for quick thai food. Although I was not a fan of the taste. Pad Thai seemed to be made with sweet and sour sauce instead of the traditional tamarind paste. The Tiger Cry Steak was tough and dry. Seemed like the meat was boiled instead of grilled. The crying tiger sauce added lots of flavor.

I ordered a pad see ew and it was too salty. However the price point was pretty good so I can't really complain. I also got a thai tea which ended up being $18 total for both! It's definitely great for fast take out and if you're running short on time or want to get food quick. Not sure if I would come back as there are other better Thai places but if you want something that won't break your bank this place is great for that :D
