Me and my hubby have been driving by this place for a while and kept saying, we need to go there. We finally did it tonight and it was awesome! Angela was super friendly and made us feel welcomed. The food was amazing! We will definitely go back. It is a good place to unwind after a long day at work. We are happy it's close to our place. The food here is INCREDIBLE. My boyfriend and I had such a good time here. We got the date night special and we both thought it was a great deal for how much food we got. The ragin cajun pasta is a must try. We both left stuffed. The staff was so friendly. The only thing I could possible say is that their table seating is a bit awkward because the tables are round but that’s a tiny criticism for how spectacular everything else was. We’ll be back!

What a lovely first evening in San Diego thanks to this fun bar! Tasty food, fabulous servers, and a well curated tap list, all around good vibe....this sweet neighborhood bar checks all of the boxes! Cheers, y'all!

Nice little bar that is still family friendly. Its smaller size does make large groups trickier to seat though.Beer/ wine/ cocktail selection isn't huge but it always has good beer options & some seasonal changes.Food is quite good. Burgers/fries chicken, salads, wings, fish & chips, small kids menu as well. Prices are pretty good considering how good it is.They have a couple TV's inside, plus music.Staff have always been friendly & down to earth.One of the best features is their little wooden front patio seating area that has a tower heater. The table is a bit larger & fun to bring a board game to play out there. The patio also has higher wood walls so you have some privacy & separation from anyone walking along the sidewalk & cars passing by.Parking: Parking can be tricky, it faces the main road, which has free public parallel parking. There is a small parking lot (like 6 spaces) behind the bldg that is accessible off the side street, & the side st itself also has some parking.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs at entry or inside, & regular sidewalk all around the outside. Has 1 unisex bathroom which is also accessible & wheelchair friendly inside.

Nothing but great things to say about this place! Owner is a great lady who is very involved with customers to ensure they are enjoying themselves. Prices are reasonable, food is delicious, happy hour is great! Also there's never been a bad crowd in there when I've been there, patrons from young to old. Outdoor seating is great. Also live entertainment many nights including dj, karaoke, and other stuff. Flights of beer or wine are worth stopping in to check out the place. Don't let the free scare you.

What a hidden gem! Looking for a place for my friend and I to meet halfway I came across the great reviews on this place. Wow! It's a quaint little venue with excellent service and a very comfy vibe. The chef creates the most incredible tasting flatbreads. We had the Bacon Blue and one with Chorizo & Shrimp. The flavor combinations were right on! I will definitely go back soon. Ps. You must try the churros and discover yourself what makes them so unique.

This place has all the good vibes. The owner was running the bar tonight upon my first visit. I got the wings and a few modern times beers. I will definitely be returning. I feed off strongly the energy of people who work at places. If they like the place and seem happy working there i usually do too. This also gives me energy of a former place in the Chicago suburbs that visited regularly also called the Alcove. I hope this spot sticks around for a long time.

The Alcove has a great vibe, very friendly owner and staff. The food is absolutely delicious. My husband got the burger and i got the steak. My husband said hands down one of the best burgers he has ever eaten. The steak was med-rare and juicy, very good. would order this again. We ordered the giant pretzel with the beer cheese as an appetizer and that was AMAZING.. We will definitely be returning to the Alcove.

Hidden gem in the College Area. We tried the Margherita flatbread and fries. The flatbread had fresh garlic and Basil and was an absolute delight. The fries came out crispy. We shared a bottle of sav blanc from Baja which was excellent. Can't wait to hit it up again for Happy Hour or the Date Night special.
