Placed an online order for pickup and the receipt was lost and I was stuck waiting over 40 minutes inside for my order (at least 10 minutes for just a cup of coffee). Multiple servers saw myself and another individual waiting and did not offer to check on an update or said they would check and never came back.

UPDATE: I emailed James as advised in the reply by the owner and explained my concern and provided details of our visit. He responded immediately with an apology and an offer to cover our meal. My intention in leaving the review and reaching out was not to receive any form of compensation, but rather to bring to attention a concerning experience that I felt should have addressed properly for the safety and satisfaction of guests especially repeat customers like myself. We visit many Broken Yolk branches all over SoCal. I’m glad to see that their management took my concern seriously. I appreciated the gesture and the way they handled said a lot about how they value customer feedback.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: I’ve been an avid fan of Broken Yolk and so naturally, we ate here for breakfast yesterday. However, my bf’s toast had molds in it. He was almost done with all of them before he realized. This is due to the lighting. We were there for brunch. I had to turn on my phone’s flashlight to take a better look. We told the server and he acknowledged it but after that, they just brought a new plate of toasts. That’s it. My bf didn’t even want it and told him not to bring but they still did but nothing else.

We had two skillets n 1 kids scrambled egg. Food was terrific, sadly the kids items were extremely small sized. Even the lemonade seemed to be in a 6 0z cup. For the cost of 10$$ way over priced. Just split your adult meal.

The food is great, the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The place is clean and family-friendly. It was VERY busy (Father's Day brunch), but the hostess had a table for us sooner than expected. Everyone was pleasant. Our coffee was always hot, and they always asked if we needed our cup filled.
