They sell food at reasonable prices, making it a bit easier for families going through a tough time.

Ordered their burger with fries. There was a bug in my food. Sick to my stomach rn.
The food is always hot, fresh, and healthy. The soup of the day is always homemade, different, and delicious. I am never disappointed.

Even though it says it is open to patients, parents/guardians, and visitors of the patients; the security guard feels differently. We've eaten there more than 30 times over the years with the mass amount of appointments and testing we've been there for.For the first time ever, we were told that for appointments where an official Rady sticker badge is not given (which are many) to the adult in charge of the child(ren), you will not be allowed to have use of the Cafe (i.e. cafeteria). They need to come up with a better solution.Families and children travel from all over the place just to get care at RCH.Where are they supposed to buy good food and sit for a bit?Subway doesn't cater to everyone's needs or have the same hours open as the Cafe. This needs to change, immediately.

The cooks are amazing! But the 2 older Caucasian ladies at the registers need some serious customer service.
I miss this place so much!Who told you that hospital food is gross? Not at Rady!!!I’m so grateful that I had this cafeteria during my residency. Here are some awesome points:Fresh food always with excellent quality, healthy, variable menu and very affordableSalad barSoup optionsDeli>grilled chicken sandwich for meAction station with chef Carlos, excellent food, fast and always with a smile on his face!Food portions with Mirna, sweet and very generousMy favorites: poke bowl, taco salad, pork adobo, fettuccine shrimp, chicken noodle soup
I have to say getting that lunch boost from the delicious food at Rady’s Children’s Hospital Cafe ranks up there during my residency training in San Diego. Chef Carlos and the rest of the staff are always so friendly and helpful. If you ever have the opportunity even if just visiting for the day, go check them out. Taco Tuesday and Pozole for the win!!!
Get the breakfast at this cafeteria. It's top notch. Especially the scooped cheese covered scrambled eggs. The bacon strips and garlic hash browns are excellent complements.
Turkey and swiss, hawaiian bread, no butter. It's like candy. Have jason make it!
Now serving Starbucks brewed coffee :)
