Sophisticated hideaway in Rancho Bernardo. Behind a nondescript, office-park exterior is well-appointed restaurant with exposed brick walls, iron features and a mix of dark-wood tables, booths and banquettes. Overall, a poor experience. It took 5 minutes to be greeted. Waitress never checked to see if everything was ok. Steak was uncuttable. Never refilled empty waters. Stood 10 min's to get anyone's attention to ask a question and get bill. We felt ignored. First time EVER that I didn't leave a tip. Unfortunate.
Our hostess wasn't very attentive , guess they needed more help for a busy Friday evening. The new menu raised prices and when I ordered extra veggies instead of the potatoes , I was shocked. So few veggies and a sliver of salmon. Disappointing, as it used to be our go to place. I will say the beer options and burger are still a win.
