This used to be my favorite hamburger place I’m a flight attendant and looked forward to Stopping in San Diego They took away the option to add your toppings like roasted red peppers and avacodo. It used to be like adulation type service. It’s not very good anymore. The meat was dry. I didn’t realize I wouldn’t have the option to add additional topping after I ordered. I won’t eat there again. For an $18.00 it wasn’t worth it.

Great, historic restaurant in this adorable town. Good food. Charming.
I can’t take it anymore because it’s so good and juicy. It’s perfect and I’m addicted. That’s what she said. I normally don’t even eat burgers. And their sweet potato fries with aioli are to die for.

Absolutely the best fries I've ever head (Parmesan Fries). The burgers were fabulous. The cater well to those with a gluten allergy and Celiac disease.
The hamburgers are delicious. The blue cheese hamburger and sweet potato fries are so good.
Great service all around, food tasted amazing and the fried onion strings are delicious.
Poor service, messed up my order twice. And over priced for the quality of food.
Good food but a bit pricy. Great service

Great food and excellent service!! Highly recommend.
By far the absolute WORST customer service I have experienced in my life . I ordered food to go and they messed up the order completely ! Went back the next day and the so called manager said they would fix the order , then when I arrived the cook said that I was lying about what I ordered and admitted to substituting things out of my order without my consent because they ran out of supplies . I honestly feel like they were racist . I love The Counter in NYC , but after my first visit to this one , throw the whole franchise away !!!! Disgusting to spend money somewhere to receive trash service ! I have never been to a place of business where the staff argue you down after showing proof and a receipt.
The employees here decided to close the grill before their actual closing time. They said they could only do take out but they didn’t offer to serve anything, take out or otherwise. The service was terrible. Workers here don’t seem to want to work anymore. Customer lost!
Came here with a group of 6 for lunch on a Monday and got a table outside no problem. Ordering was easy and the food was all good. I like the discount burger/side/drink options they offer as that's what I wound up ordering. Good value for the money. We had a 7 year old and there were options for her, as well as the 2 vegetarians in our group.
I should probably give this one star, but I'm feeling generous. The core ingredient, the beef, had an off taste as if it was old and had been defrosted, frozen, then defrosted again. It was a perfectly formed round patty that is an immediate red flag that it is not fresh beef. I've had better pre-formed frozen burgers from Costco. Only redeeming thing was that the salad and greens were fresh. I think they franchise this place, so they probably have very little quality control.
