The food is great and I highly recommend the duck dive burger, but the service is another story. We had the most impatient waitress who was rushing us while ordering and seemed like she was trying to spend the least amount of time at the table. I understand that you may have a lot of tables to work with, but it’s the 15 extra seconds that you spend with a table while ordering, giving them suggestions or just being helpful that makes all the difference. On top of that when we wanted to pay she didn’t want to split the way we had requested. Splitting the check the way we requested takes 1 more minute and would’ve made the service much better. I would come back if it wasn’t for the horrible service.

10/10 across the board. The food was amazing, the portion sizes were great for the price, the staff was all super friendly and accommodating. They made us fun and tasty nonalcoholic drinks. We will definitely come back!

No stars. I’m a Wildland Firefighter, an Engine Boss, and I was riding my bicycle from Astoria, OR to San Diego for charity. The manager asked me to leave — saying “we don’t allow homeless people here, and you probably do drugs like meth” he is a reason we have trouble in this country and it’s unfortunate that people treat first responders like this. It’s disgraceful, disgusting and shameful— I got nothing but love, but this guys needs some right fist love.

This place is the best! We stayed up the road and walked here. BROOKS WAS AMAZING!! He was attentive and very informative on the menu and recommended the best. Chicken tenders were by far the very best. Blu burger ... bomb!

Restaurantji Recommends
Megan was pleasant server when she stopped by, but was very pre-occupied with her cell phone, chit chatting with other staff and watching tv making it hard to get her attention in a timely manner

I use to come here a lot, now I HIGHLY do not recommend. Invited 20 people for my birthday there just yesterday. To start I made the reservation for 1 which they said it was 1:15 thats fine until we were actually seated 25 minutes later at 1:40. (this i could still live with).. when we were seated they actually ended up giving us 2 separate tables in a very crowded area . (not pleasant but i could still live with it).. Now the worst part of the experience was at the end when the bill came. When we asked for people to pay for their own food and drinks (Lauren F) said she would not be able to close people out as they leave, after which point she came back with two (300dollar) bills that did not match what people ordered at each table. As the birthday person my girlfriend and i obviously had to pay the two Bills and try to get the money back from people.. after a lot of work i am still left with 160 dollars that will be coming out of my OWN POCKET because we found food and drinks on there that supposedly might have come from other tables. I left her a 100 dollar tip which i wish i never did after looking into this further. I am mostly mad that on my birthday i ended up loosing this money.

I would never recommend Duck Dive for a birthday or large group. We reserved a table for 18 people for a birthday at 1pm. We were there at 1pm but they said they won’t sit us until 1:15pm. At 1.15pm we asked again and they said they’re getting our table ready. We then asked again at 1.26pm, almost 30 minutes after the reserved time and they asked us how many people from our party are there. The fact that we had to keep on asking was already bad service but then it also seemed that they were waiting for all 18 people to be there before seating us when the table was sitting empty in the meantime anyways (we could literally see it from the outside).
The nightmare in the end was that we got one huge bill that the birthday boy paid instead of them just itemizing each person so we ended up somehow $200 too short. Everyone claimed they paid their stuff so it somehow seems like they added stuff to our bill that wasn’t from our group. Convenient that we can’t figure that out unless we asked every single person what they had. So essentially we had to do their job and go by each person what everyone had. Never again.

We had already ordered a full bottle of mimosa for the table, and I simply asked for one extra empty glass so I could just have a small taste since I was driving. Shockingly, they charged me $14 just for that empty glass. It’s unreasonable and feels unfair — instead of doing this, they could have just said they needed $14, and I would have gladly handed it over. Charging for an empty glass when we already bought a whole bottle is unacceptable.
