Our first time in San Diego and we just happened to find this great place to host us as our first visit to a chocolatier. The ladies are amazing and the chocolate is great. We had the everything brownie and a Carmel apple. We had a great time visiting with them too, which just made our day. Definitely the place to make sure you stop in and enjoy their craftsmanship and then take a little bit to visit. It will be a core memory and possibly life changing.

Just randomly walking by and decided to stop by. This is a genuine from scratch chocolatier and bakery. It is astonishing and a rarity to find one in such unexpected location. We need to support this kind of local business, they are not just a retailer as so many bakeries/chocolate stores, the are an actual local producer of artisan deserts made daily from generational family recipes. Kudos to Jenifer and her staff.

This is the best chocolate ANYTHING in town! She is trained in Europe and it shows; there is no one else doing what Jennifer does in San Diego! Her truffles are generous and her salted chocolate caramels; dark and milk are a special treat! From her OMG chocolate cake to her lemon ricotta cookies with limoncello icing to her salted caramels and everything she does is five star. It is clear that she earned her Zagat rating! If you have not tasted any of her desserts, stop in as she will let you sample your way through her kitchen! Oh, and do not miss her iced coffee or a shot of espresso! Delicioso!

I've been coming to Elegant Truffle for a few years and enjoy all the delicious truffles & cakes through out the year. But unfortuantely after trying to buy Truffles the day before Valentines day I was told since I did not have a special order I could not even purchase two. . Just a suggestion Jennifer : maybe keep a small supply for your walk in regular customers.

The shop owner was incredibly kind and helpful. I got lemon ricotta cookies and Carmel with chocolate and flaked salt and they were delicious! I wish I had gotten more cookies! Can't wait to make a trip back down soon.

SADLY, you must visit ASAP as the building 's owner has sold the property right out from under their tenants, including the Elegant Truffle. Here you can dive deeply into chocolates and slices of cakes. Gift boxes of truffles may be accompanied by a chocolate covered spoon to be used to add chocolate to coffee, yum.

A small shop but great desserts! They make all their items by hand, so there's different things every time you visit. The staff was super friendly and explained what was in each dessert. We got a tasty brownie and a blueberry buckle, and they were both delicious! And the prices were quite reasonable given they are handmade and so yummy! Definitely will be coming back!
