had heard The Friendly had one of the BEST burgers in San Diego, so we were all in… First things first…. They are not very friendly at The Friendly, so lower your expectations . We felt more like a bother and arrived at a time when there was no one else in line, so it was definitely not a case of trying to get things moving. People taking orders don’t make eye contact, can barely mutter full sentences. No atmosphere, no vibe, we cleaned our own table off, it was the least dirty of the six available. Waited 28 minutes for part of our order, second burger came out 9 minutes later. Burger was a little salty, a little too greasy (and I can appreciate a greasy burger!) but good once it finally arrived. Not good enough to overlook all the other things….Back to Rocky’s we go.

This had to be one of the worst burgers I have ever had. I had ordered the “All American” which had ketchup and mustard….. the bread was covered on both ends one ketchup, one mustard. SO MUCH!!! All you get is a mouth full of mustard. I had to open the burger to wipe off all of the ketchup and mustard, it made the bread soggy and disgusting. The service sucked. I walked in to order and he decided to count his drawer. LMAO (like really you can’t wait for me to order first?!?!) The atmosphere was empty…. I mean no wonder the burgers were trash.
Better off going to McDonalds.

I really don’t understand why there is no modifications on burgers They claim they don’t want to change the recipe. It’s not like they invented gunpowder It’s a burger Tend to customer needs

Smash burgers look tasty, are decent, but not out of this world. Very plain. I should have gotten the dirty flattop as a deluxe with lettuce and tomato. Would have been even better with pickled jalapeños. Music is also very loud inside. Good thing it was Creed!

great burger but waiting 35 min on a random Thursday afternoon for them to smash two patties and stick them in between bread is kinda wild. That’s just me though.

Honestly I didn’t even go in. I was standing outside wanting to go in, like I want to try the food, but the music was way too god damn loud and they were blasting hardcore rap. I mean I like a little hardcore rap myself, but I don’t want it blasting in my ears when I’m trying to look at the menu and decide what I want. I just felt like I couldn’t relax in that situation.

Went out of our way to come here. Profile said it was open. Sign on the door said they'd be back at 430. It was 440. Guy popped his head out and said they'd be open in 20 minutes. Felt like it was probably going to be closer to 30 the way he said it. I've always told people to only ever go to the original location without ever trying this spot. Should have listened to my own advice.
