We took our son for a birthday dinner and the experience was absolutely perfect! Our wait staff was excellent, our server provided recommendations, was thoughtful and very courteous. My husband's filet mignon was tender and delicious and my veal was wonderful I will definitely be back!

Old fashion dining with fresh white tablecloths. Great service and love piano! Good food and enjoy it every time we go.

This was a very disappointing restaurant experience. We had a reservation for eight people at 7 o'clock. We waited in the alcove for about 30 minutes as we were told when we arrive the table was not ready. While we waited, nobody came by to inform us of the progress to be seated. When I finally went to the front desk to ask What the status of our table was, the host yelled at me Well the table is not ready yet! He then went to the dining room, saw that the table was ready and yelled. OK now it's ready! but did not come to the alcove to the rest of our party. After we were served our dinners, I realized that we had not been given the option of soup or salad which the menu says comes with the meal. Our waiter never came by to ask how everything was until it was time to clear the table. The food was good, but I would think that a restaurant that has been around for over 50 years Could do a better job of taking care of its patrons.

I have been going to the Godfather for decades and unfortunately the last two times, the food was not up to par. I love the ambiance :)

We have been dining at the Godfather for over 30 years. Usually we have a wonderful experience. We went last night for my bday and it wasn't the experience we were used to. Our waiter didn't seem very friendly, our food took a long time to come out and we had to ask for the appetizer of fried zucchini that usually comes out fairly quickly without ask. My daughter ordered the bolognese and her pasta hardly had any sauce. I hope this is an isolated experience and will give it another shot.

Service was prompt and professional. While the complimentary fried zucchini was tasty and crispy, the entrees were mediocre. The fettuccini and lasagne was unremarkable and the chicken Parmesan was lackluster at best with only what could be considered as the old store-bought Ragu marinara. The bill was over $100 (including 3 entrees and bruschetta with only water to drink). Fried zucchini and Italian bread were complimentary. Probably wouldn't go back.

Wonderful experience! Server was fantastic! We were celebrating an engagement. Beautiful memories 💕

Overall, it was a pleasant experience although not the same as when the Balastreris owned and ran it. Thank god the food is still excellent. I marked down in service as the bus boy was way too pushy about boxing leftovers. Two in our party were still eating. They should wait until it's obvious all are finished. I miss the formality of the wait staff like before.

Reserved a table a week in advance, the restaurant did not disappoint, food was amazing as well as the service. Definitely plan on going here on a more regular basis.

I have been have the Executive Chef of some of the finest private clubs in southern California. My wife and I tried The Godfather for the first time yesterday evening. Not only was the food outstanding, but our server Riccardo was a gem!!! One of the coolest things as a chef is when you can taste the love in the food!!! Thank you Godfather & thank you Riccardo!!!

Book dinner for a business dinner and it was pretty loud. Several people celebrating birthdays, so wasn't the best atmosphere for a business discussion

An excellent experience! We ordered the ribeye, veal piccata, lobster ravioli and the gnocchi. All excellent and tasted good. The veal was a bit over cooked for my taste, delicious none the less. David was our server and he was on point alomg with the rest of the wait staff. We celebrated a birthday and the birthday lady loved it as it was her first time eating at The Godfather. Well done!

I ordered their special that was described as trout stuffed with crab and topped with shrimp. The trout, crab and shrimp were overcooked and dry to the point of not being edible. I told the waiter and assured him I wasn't looking for a replacement or an adjustment to the bill. I wanted him to let the kitchen know so they would not let that happen to anyone else. When the waiter came back after taking my dish to the kitchen he said that the kitchen didn't agree. I was stunned. No apology. Since the kitchen finds dry food acceptable, I won't be going back.
