Excellent food. Very flavorful. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. Would come again and recommend.
This is the third time my friend and I have eaten at The Kitchen at the Museum of Art San Diego. We have always received excellent service. We will continue to eat there. I highly recommend it.
Beautiful night on the patio, and a magical menu focused on corn. Every course was amazing. Definitely going back.
Anther fabulous tasting dinner, this time featuring corn -all the courses were amazing - the blue corn polenta with the pork was an incredible combination!
Beautiful dining opportunities, both indoors and out. Great service and wonderful, healthy food choices for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Worth going out of your way for, and plan a visit to the museum before or after.
I think this is one of the finest restaurants in SD. The view ol the ocean is gorgeous. The menu and food were fresh and interesting. Lots of flavors and texture. Our server was efficient . All over a wonderful experience .
The setting, service and food is outstanding! I always look forward to trying the new, creative seasonal dishes.
Service is sparse, ask for a bottle of water to be left on your table and two if you are a group of 4.
Had a good lunch here and the view is great.

I expected better food and better service at this restaurant. We had to ask for cutlery and napkins a few times. The food was just ok and not hot enough. At the end prior to paying the bill we asked if any service charge has already been added and the waitress said no there isn't. We asked when we paid to see the receipt and there was already 3.95% service charge added to our total bill, so watch out for that. Overall, this restaurant is no more than 4 out of 5 stars.

Very disappointed by our dinner experience, and I’m not sure that I’d ever recommend trying one of their special dinners again.
We had an okay start, seated 10 minutes after our reservation time(something I normally wouldn’t hold against a restaurant), because some other guests were taking a bit long with their meals according to the host(who seemed delightful).
I’m more inclined to believe that it was an issue with the kitchen, as we didn’t receive our first bite of food until 45 minutes after we’d been seated, and the second course 20 minutes after finishing that. This was for a prix fixe menu, no selections involved, a delay like that with an already late start is insane, with no offering of bread or even a comped drink to make up for the massive delay.
The food was also a mixed bag, I appreciate some of the risks taken, but only the first and last dish stood out, with the others ranging from decent to disappointing, with flavors that didn’t blend well, or just fell flat. Still, they were experimenting, it was interesting, and had the service been better I probably wouldn’t be leaving a review. A little insulting icing on the cake was that the server selected the 22% tip option themself after such a clearly poor experience. We switched it to 17%, but it felt pushy and very much unwelcome with how the rest of the meal went.
The cafe is great, their regular meals are enjoyable, but this special dinners was poorly put together.

The beverage and food selections are plentiful. I ordered the burger with fries. My friend had the eggs with bacon and potatoes with sourdough bread. The view of the ocean is absolutely amazing! Just a note for new visitors, use the valet parking on the left side of the property - it's worth it!!
The ambience is beautiful overlooking the water and we were there before the sunset and the waitress told us what time the sun was setting. We absolutely loved everything that we ordered and nothing was bad. As a matter of fact, that was the best salmon I have ever tasted at a restaurant. Their appetizers are exquisite, and they made my drink perfectly. The service was impeccable, and it was a wonderful place to dine.
