We had a late lunch at The Mediterranean Room and it was absolutely perfect. 3pm on a Thursday was slow crowd but very fast and attentive service- our drinks were refreshed before we could set them down! Ryan was our waiter and he was extremely pleasant. We were seated outside, no reservation because it was a slow time in the afternoon. The view was spectacular!
First, we shared the Ahi Poke Nachos which were lovely. They had lots of fish on top with perfectly crispy wonton chips.
Next we shared the Flatbread- the salmon was also a very generous portion and very delicious.
Lastly we ordered the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake BLTA. The bacon was nice and crisp and the crab cake was a very generous size once again.
Overall this was a perfect late lunch! Great date location, lovely atmosphere and amazing service.

Le déjeuner était parfait. Nous avons très bien mangé avec une magnifique vue sur l'océan. Les serveurs ont tous été très aimables! En plus ils ont eu une petite attention pour mon amie qui fêtait son anniversaire. C'est un restaurant dans lequel je vais très souvent et que je recommande vivement!

My party and I were left unsatisfied with the service and the quality of the dishes. It is evident the price-tag is due solely to the beautiful location. I would happily go back to La Valencia for a drink (which I loved), but not back for dinner, unfortunately.

What an amazing place to celebrate our anniversary. The restaurant went out of its way to recognize our special night: the best table outside facing the ocean; greetings from all the staff with “happy anniversary”; a card at our table; and special dessert. They even took a special step of bringing my wife a cover when she was cold after the sun went down. But it wasn't just the service. The food was amazing as well! The dishes were presented so nicely and flavorful. From the roasted cauliflower appetizer to my wife's scallops with peaches and my shrimp scampi - everything was fantastic. We will definitely come here again the next time our travels bring us to La Jolla.

The food was great and the service was warm and caring. We stayed at the hotel so it was very easy to walk down for our reservation. The patio views are stunning. Highly recommend for ocean views.

The hotel has a cool vintage vibe and the ocean view was nice. We also appreciated the fact that the restaurant is dog friendly. Our issue was that the food was not great. My lamb was dry (waiter did not ask how I want my lamb prepared). The rest of the items on the plate were room temperature. And the butt of a cabbage was used as garnish. Portions were very small for the price as well. This restaurant has high-end prices for tiny portions and not great food.
As usual the service at the Med room was so superb. Helpful and caring service and attention to detail. We had a table on the veranda facing the ocean and it was so peaceful. The hummus plate is an outstanding dish.

One of the best restaurants we have ever been to. We celebrated my 40th birthday with a party of ten. One friend said the octopus was the best he ever had. Another friend said the halabet first was amazing. Another friend said the tuna was to die for. I said my chicken was so zesty and flavorful. My husband said his lamb was good. Another friend said the salmon was good and and friend said he enjoyed the burger. The desserts were also very tasty. I recommend the Banana Foster Cream Brule. It was a once in a life time dining experience, that my taste buds won't forget!!!!!
