Great Bartenders and Awesome Sound System. Nice outdoor area.
I went to EQ last Thursday for their weekly techno night, which was explicitly advertised on their website as happening on July 24th with no cover until 11:30pm. When I got to the host stand, the woman asked if I had a reservation for what appeared to be a Bob’s Burgers theme party. I said no, that I was there for Reverb. She walked away and came back a minute later with a man who asked us what the issue was. I showed him *their own website* where Reverb was listed as their event for the night with no cover before 11:30pm and he rudely dismissed me with “Well, that’s not happening.” I said, “Okay… then what’s cover to get in?” They looked at each other and sort of shrugged, and the woman said “Uhhhh, twenty something?” My husband and I laughed out loud, left, and walked across the street to Uptown Tavern where they were happy to accept our money and provide good service. Definitely not wasting my time at EQ ever again, the staff was comically incompetent and rude. As a club you should (1) maintain your website’s event calendar, (2) know what cover you’re charging, and (3) be courteous to your customers. They’ll be out of business before too long, as mere steps away you can find Rich’s which is far more welcoming and professionally-run.
it's just another event space nothing special
This place is awesome when it comes to aesthetics, music, and events for the community, but half the time there is no place for water and almost ALL of the employees insist on constantly being rude to people. If I wanted to be made to feel inadequate by pretentious bar employees, I'd drive to Los Angeles.
Cool spot Blue Monday
Great sound system and a large open dance floor plus a massive outdoor patio. They host a bunch of different clubs throughout the month, from bear night to a goth event so theres something for just about anybody. Strong drinks, good prices and cute bartenders, what more csn you ask for in a club?
EQ San Diego's Hillcrest neighborhood offers an immersive electronic music experience with a state of the art sound system and dynamic atmosphere. Patrons appreciate the diverse lineup of DJs and the club's commitment to inclusivity and community.
Nice big bar during the day. Large full bar area. Open space. Small dance area and a pool table. Nice patio space. Very fun 80-90s music during the day. Supposed euro dance place at night.
Has always been a great spot to see bands and get drinks. No bands play anymore, which is a bummer, but they do have some good themed nights for going out and dancing.
Ironically the EQ here is often terrible. Should start a trend of clubs named after the thing they most sorely lack

Nice vibe nice folks

Went with some friends for Take back Thursday Emo Punk night (11/14/24). The pool table in the main (dance) room was a new addition. Left feeling more Emo than I arrived only because the turn out was epically low. The DJ did a great job of doing their best to hype up the less than 50 people total from 10p-12:30A - most seemed to be a group of "normie" guys huddled together outside rather than Emo/Punk/Alt.
Will be attending other events and update review accordingly 🖤🤘🏼
Fun shows, cool lights, and stiff drinks that are well priced.
Went for Club Sabbat's pre-halloween event and had so much fun! Love the little outside set up and all the fancy lights!
love blue mondays
