They raise the bar when it comes to Peruvian food and desserts. If you have a sweet tooth come prepare to have amazing genuine, authentic Peruvian desserts.
It was amazing over here everyone should try it at least once probably much more than once lol Also Guillermo was awesome with his customer service and fun to talk to. The Chicharron sandwich is the best!!!

Ceviche, fish good, sweet potato came from frozen, not good
Aji de gallina, ok; looked reheated not so good. Looked like it came from frozen portion.
Anticuchos, great flavor, quantity of meet of 3 pieces for each stick ok, but size very poor.
Pricy to an extent, not really worth it.

Disappointing Experience — Not True Peruvian Cuisine
As someone who’s worked alongside talented Peruvian chefs in Miami and has a deep appreciation for authentic Peruvian flavors, I was genuinely excited to try this place. Unfortunately, it was a major letdown.
The food lacked any resemblance to the vibrant, bold flavors I know and love. We ordered medium-spicy ceviche, Papa a la Huancaína, and shrimp causa — all of which tasted bland, stale, and far from fresh. Even the fries we got for our daughter were undercooked.
The setup felt more like a fast-food joint than a restaurant celebrating Peruvian culture: paper plates, bowls, and self-service at the register. It reminded me of McDonald’s, but without the consistency.
We ended up tossing everything and driving to Del Mar, which was a breath of fresh air — flavorful, beautifully presented, and worth every penny.
This was a complete waste of time and money. If you’ve ever had real Peruvian food, you’ll understand why this place misses the mark entirely.

The service was great and the food was delicious but they were out of the first two things I wanted to order and the portion size on the pasta dish was almost all pasta, very little meat and veggies. The lomo saltada was awesome so I’ll be back to keep trying more. I’m just happy to have great Peruvian food around!

I love this place.. im not from San Diego but whenever I travel there this is the first spot to go. They have the best chicharron. And even a play area for your kids. . So you can eat while they play. I have also tried their alfajores, and empanadas and they are sooooo good. Highly recommend
Calls itself a “Peruvian Restaurant” but they played Salvadorean music the whole time I was there and there was no arroz chaufa on the menu. No ají either.

We ordered Peruvian Food on Doordash from a place called The Peruvian Spot. We ordered the Tallarin a la Huancaina with Lomo Saltado which is Huancaina sauce with noodles and then with Lomo Saltado which is a beef dish. For the main entree we also ordered Aji de Gallina which is a shredded chicken with a creamy aji amarillo sauce served with rice and potatoes. For dessert we order 1 Alfajores. Overall really good Peruvian cuisine and I would recommend this restaurant!

Love this place! I've been there several times and I can't get enough of their Inka Asada Fries and anything with Lomo Saltado. The flavor is amazing and respects the high standard of Peruvian cuisine. The fact that it has a kids corner makes it special if you don't wanna struggle with a little one at a restaurant.

Wow! Amazing restaurant with delicious food, spacious layout, excellent customer service, and reasonable price! What more can you ask for? If you haven't tried this place yet, you are missing out on what a high rated restaurant truly is all about. Some favorites are: Inka Asada Fries, Lomo Saltado, Mil Hojas, Alfajor, perfectly balanced homemade chocolate cake, and various nicely flavored ice creams. Enjoy!👌🔥💣

10 out of 10!!!
Dining at The Peruvian Spot was nothing short of extraordinary. Every dish we ordered - tamal, ceviche a la carrilleta, lomito sandwich, ceviche a la limeña, causa, rice, and sweet plantains - was an explosion of vibrant, authentic flavors that transported us straight to Peru. The beverages, from the refreshing chicha morada to the perfectly balanced TPS juice, complemented the meal beautifully.
Chef Silvana not only prepared each dish with impeccable skill but also provided service infused with genuine warmth and hospitality, making the entire experience feel personal and memorable. The atmosphere is both inviting and lively. Adding to the appeal is its convenient location and effortless parking, which makes visiting a pleasure from start to finish.
This is, without question, the best Peruvian dining experience in town - a true culinary gem that I cannot recommend highly enough.

Their ceviche is the best ! Love both the carretillero and the limeño. The empanadas and chocolate cake are a must. The causa was delicious, it had a little more mayo than I'm used to though. Their lomo saltado is made with the highest quality beef and definitely their homemade ice cream is fire. Loved the lúcuma ice cream! Ask for a sample. the restaurant is very welcoming and great location and the ingredients all fresh. Thanks !
