I've been blessed to try most of the steakhouses in San Diego. Maybe it is just this place hits my likes, but this was fantastic. Highly recommended

Was disappointed with the steak, I ordered a medium and it came out rare. Only finished a quarter of it. Asked to place it in a to go container so I could reheat it but the waiter forgot and lost our leftovers. I was looking forward to our dinner based on reviews but I guess my expectations were too high.

This is our favorite restaurant in San Diego. Not only is the food exquisite, but the staff is outstanding.

We loved The Remy!!! Great service and attention to detail. The food was delicious. The steak was perfect and worth every penny. We live in La Jolla and this is a great location. Not too far away and plenty of parking. It’s much easier than going downtown.

The ambiance and food were great, but the service was absolutely exceptional. Indeed, from front to back, the service was great, but Jeremy really stood out. He gave us solid recommendations, anticipated our needs, and made it a memorial time for our family's birthday celebration. I highly recommend the Remy (the Wagyu smash burger is like in-n-out on another level!).

Great view! Food and drink was great. The kitchen is visible and no rats observed cooking the food.

Finally got around to trying this place, and was quite disappointed.

Upon sitting, the host only gave us a wine menu, no food / cocktails. There was only one waiter downstairs, and it took a bit for him to get to us. Not a big deal.

We ordered two cocktails, a rum based “tropical” drink, and an old fashioned. The rum drink was undrinkable. Absolute sugar bomb, zero balance. The old fashioned is described as an “elevated Wisconsin old fashioned.” A Wisconsin old fashioned is brandy based, with muddled cherry / orange, ice and topped off with soda water. This drink was built on a single cloudy ice cube with Maker’s, Luxardo Maraschino (?) and Averna amaro (?!?!). This makes no dang sense.

I asked for a whisky list, but there wasn’t one available - but the waiter had one on his phone? Upon looking at the prices, I quickly passed. 200 dollars for a 2oz pour of GTS is… very bad.

The tuna tostada was good!

Our entrees were very uneven. When we first got them, my partner and I both said, “What’s up with this plating?” The plate had ingredients hastily thrown together, off center. It was odd to see for a place that is supposed to be higher end. My partner found her filet to be almost inedible, because it was so heavily salted. I found my skirt steak to be good, but not great.

We were also sat next to a seven top that had two children, who were probably 5 or 6 years old. They were doing as kids do, being loud and rambunctious. It’s not The Remy’s fault, but it just was sort a cherry on top of a poor experience.

We skipped dessert and a nightcap, as we didn’t think it was worth the effort.

Their happy hour menu looks REALLY GOOD and I’d like to give it a try before writing it off. But for now, if you want a steak and good cocktails, go to a place like Cowboy Star.

Service was great. Sides were great. Drink was slightly off but the waiter sent it back and it great. Middle of my steak was too rare.

My family went to this establishment on my birthday. It's a cozy setting and the service was great. My only problem was the food. The portions were small and it just lacked that "PoP". I have no problem paying for "GOOD" food but if I'm paying "GOOD" money I "Great food ". The bar area was full and active and the drink menu was plentiful. So In the end it's good. I like great. I will start taking pics to show what I am expressing in my reviews.

Parking: It has a decent lot and if it is full there is street parking.

Wheelchair accessibility: There is handicap parking right in front.

Not exited at all with my experience. Duck salad was 2 stars, Caesar was so-so.
We ordered 4 filets mignon and 2 of them were 50% of unsmashable white fat. We complained and they replaced them by new ones (even offering a free mac and cheese, that was very good). But a good restaurant will not even start to serve filets like this. The presentation is also very so-so with 2 broccolis dumped over mashed potato.
Our waitress was very welcoming, funny and nice , but apart from this, not a good experience overall, will definitely not return to this place , a lot of better steak houses in SD

I was completely unaware that this little hidden gem existed! My wife and I search Monthly for a different nice place to eat; high-end prices are no object. We want fantastic food, a great atmosphere, and excellent service.
The only reason I found this place was a work dinner...I'm not sure why this place doesn't appear in the top Searches; maybe it's an SEO issue? Anyway, if you are in the area, price is not a factor, and you are willing to pay for service, quality, and atmosphere, this place is a great place to visit. This place is casual and comfortable yet high-end well prepared food.

I highly recommend The Remy. I met a date for dinner this week. Not only was the food amazing, the service was next level. Shortly after we were seated, the manager approached our table and introduced himself. I'm assuming he could tell we were on a first date and offered us a table upstairs, away from the bar area. We accepted. To our surprise we were the only people seated up their. Great accommodation!
