A few family members and I went to the rooftop bar. It was not a busy night. We sat for 40 minutes without being served. Waiters kept waiting on other tables but never came to take our orders. They kept looking at us but never came over. There were waiters at the bar standing around. We did not understand why we weren't waited on but other tables got service.

Quick bite and drinks after work opened up the evening and kick-started a nice weekend. Service was good, food was good, views of the baseball game at the stadium, and all within walking distance of home.

Had a business lunch meeting here. Nice al fresco dining. It was fairly empty so the low noise-level was welcoming. Service was good and attentive. But the food was underwhelming to say the least; it was very basic and generic. I ordered the Andaz hamburger thinking it would be their signature dish since it bears the hotel's name. It was anything but. McD/BK serves better burger at a fraction of the cost. My guest's dish was also very plain, looked more like it came out of a microwave. It's okay for a quick bite but then again, considering its cost, I'd look elsewhere. Definitely doesn't offer value for the dollar.
Extremely slow service and incorrect orders. Rooftop beautiful but as a hotel restaurant, this needs massive improvement.
The Rooftop was a good experience overall due to the ambience and food, and thankfully, it was not noisy. Our party of seven guests enjoyed the Mother's Day celebration with good food and good conversation. Surprisingly, it was not busy, but it also made us wonder why it took forever to get our food. The venue is normally a nighttime hangout with bottle service, which explains why that crowd wasn't around for brunch. The view is wonderful! We also happened to check out the small rooftop pool area, which could possibly be quite an attraction during the middle of summer. However, when visited, the pool had cloudy water, which looked unattractive!
It was a disappointing experience overall

Great amenities, fun pool, tasty food, exciting drinks, and a gorgeous view of downtown San Diego.
In the heart of San Diego, The Rooftop by STK is not above the restaurant, but rather the Andaz Hotel. With that in mind, you’ll have to enter the hotel and head to the top. The space is really well maintained with decor that’s typical of the Andaz—modern with elements of pop art. There’s a giant mural of Aubrey Hepburn and co-ed bathroom entrances. That kind of vibe. There’s tons of outdoor seating and a giant bar where you can order food from STK. The menu is a little pricey, but expected because it’s downtown and a higher end hotel. There is a pool, but reserved for guests (I believe). I wish the view was better, but it’s still a nice rooftop. My girlfriend and I went during happy hour and the menu featured discounted drinks and shareable dishes. Again, it was pricey for what it was, but expected. The bartender provided excellent service, which is truly why I gave it four stars instead of three. If you’re looking to be outdoors and on a sunny San Diego day, this is a great option.
Bartender Richie was amazing, made me One Word drink off the menu and was excellent, very friendly, great atmosphere, food comes quick, I had the fish taco and they made it grilled for me..
Great rooftop dining area with a bar and outside seating right on top of the Andaz. Tried several of the breakfast menu options over the week and overall had a great experience with the food. So cal Benedict and the croissant sandwich stood out.
Beautiful rooftop. Exquisite pool.
