Was pleasantly surprised by how good the tacos were! Got the battered fish taco and sat outside to eat it. The crispiness and texture of the battered fish was just right, the fish was fresh too and didn't smell overly fishy. I added some salsa to it from the topping/salsa bar that they have in the back. Can't wait to come back again!

It was our time at The Taco Stand. We discovered the most delicious, authentic, made to order tacos and burrito. The carne burrito was tasty, tender, with yummy beans, guacomole, and wrapped in a fresh tortilla. The Baja Taco was super fresh and tender, and there was a light crisp coating. The thinly sliced cabbage and sauce put it over the top. I had to get another. Nicole processed my order, and BJ cooked it to perfection. I danced in my seat on the outdoor patio and enjoyed every bite. Yvonne let me know there is a store near us in Costa Mess. We will definitely be back. I ate my Baja without taking a picture.

This place is probably my favorite Mexican restaurant in San Diego. The pricing is great and the food portion is amazing. The food is just amazing, it tastes the best.

This place is great! The food is delicious and the staff is always really nice. Special shoutout to Yvonne. My boyfriend ordered to the wrong location and she helped correct and get us our food!

Tacos. Burritos and chips are consistently good. Recommend ordering to go or ahead of arrival to shorten wait time. Not too much seating.

was a serious hit and miss for me today. Tacos Cold and old... had been sitting I'm sure as I live 5 mins away and by the time I got home my food was COLD . Which is a disappointment because I know the food is good as my wife had a wonderful burrito. I was charged for churros while churros were sold out.. Then when told about this the gentleman gave me an order of churros that had been sitting out for a while and said. Well this should be yours. Overall disappointing especially because i know the quality they can provide. Usually 5 stars. Today yall missed the mark

Taco stand is best summed up as solid. It's located in a seemingly up and coming trendy neighborhood with a ramen restaurant on the other side. Parking like anywhere else in San Diego, is a pain. We parked in the neighborhood a few streets over. There was a good influx of people and they were busy. We were able to snag one of the tables inside. There are additional tables on the patio as well as the bathroom. The salsa bar was depleted (no limes) and the trash was overflowing. Flavors are good, but I have had better. Between the carne asada, pastor, and Baja tacos my favorite was the Baja tacos. Their creamy chipotle salsa was my favorite and paired well with the fried fish. The elote was disappointing; it was not grilled, rather boiled instead. We took chips & guac and churros home. Neither was good. The guac was avocado- no limes, onions, cilantro, salt, or seasoning. The churros were overfried.

A very good taqueria in San Diego. The atmosphere made you feel like you were in a Mexican taqueria, the music, the staff. They make the tortillas on site and that changes the whole experience. I highly recommend the tacos al pastor. They have Mexican beer and Mexican soft drinks. I never recommend ordering tacos to go because they will become soggy and ugly. You have to eat them there. Highly recommended.

The California burrito I've been wanting for months, can't find them like this outside San Diego. Crispy fries wrapped in cheese to keep them crispy, avocado and marinated Carne, and at a pretty good price for the size. Amazing selection of sauces to have it any way you want.

Every Taco Stand location is amazing!! I love their battered fish tacos (texture, crunch, and lots of cabbage 10/10!) and the green sauce (not salsa verde) they have. Also tried their churros this time, which they also make to order so it came out HOT! It's amazing w the dipping sauce and they're very generous w cinnamon sugar. There is a bathroom located outside in their patio area.

Really impressed by the price and quality of the food here! The carne asada fries are the BEST I have had in San Diego, and they're a good value too. They weren't soggy and you can tell they actually care about how the fries taste. they give you lots of avocado and meat with the fries, which is great because usually places just put cheese and salsa and poor quality meat. It's good to find a place that cares about the product they make, I will definitely come back. Also the service was speedy even though it was busy. There is limited seating but they seem to rotate through people quickly.

Limited menu but I think it works well. It was busy when we arrived but the service was fast.
