First time in La Jolla. Family was starving after a day on the beach. Saw this driving by and it looked legit - no joke the best tacos al pastor I’ve ever had. Ever. Also tried the Baja and the chicken tacos and both were incredible. Could NOT get enough of that green salsa. Incredible find!
Loved the creative outdoor seating around the perimeter!
It was busy at 3pm but foodcame out in about 10 minutes.

Quesadilla with barely any cheese (See Video). Got 2 Cali burritos this evening and first 4 bites were nothing but folded up together tortilla. Layers and layers of just tortilla and little filling in the middle. Seems they are skimping on meat. Nothing to the burrito. The resteraunt was dirty inside. Poor service. Not recommended. On the other hand, Harry’s taco club, our usually go-to, is awesome and I wish we would have stuck to that tonight.

It was the best taco I had during my two week trip to the US! You can cook on the spot in the open kitchen and enjoy the taste of traditional Mexican tacos! In particular, it was my first time trying fish tacos, and they were quite delicious ^^ None of the menu items are very expensive, so I highly recommend them!! Also, be sure to try the churros. They are fried upon ordering and are delicious when eaten with condensed milk sauce!

There is a self-service bar so you can eat as much sauce as you want!

Parking: It's street parking.

Small, local taco dive with incredible food! Grabbed a cerveza and had a few tacos, favorites recommended by the cashier (fish, Al pastor, and Camarones)

Get here early, this place definitely gets busy!

They have a line for a reason. Their food is legit. Asada has a flavor that seems to be marinaded in chimichuri and unique. Only had that once before and loved it. Al pastor, shrimp and nopal were also pretty good, but asada was definitely the stand out and worth every minute in line. They have a lot of salsas to mix and match. If I have one complaint, it’s the location of the salsa bar. Gets crowded in the back corner and you get stuck back there, but people are pretty patient and know it’s worth the wait. Definitely worth the trip to La Jolla, which says a lot as there are a ton of great tacos all over SD. Bravo! ?

The al pastor tacos were very solid and actually on a trompo which made me very happy.

Reasonably priced

Proteins were solid, I got carne asada, al pastor, wife got camarón, pretty tasty

Tortillas were good quality

Salsas were ok, a bit runny/watery

The bottled drinks were not very cold and the indoor seating is very cramped

Average tacos with steak chucks not carne asada meat. Super small joint that you feel like you’re on top of other people. The drinks were all watered down. The prices were high as well. $5.50 for a small average taco is sad. They give you one tiny plate for multiple people in your party. I would find somewhere else to spend your ?!

Great, tasty tacos and burritos!
The crowd and line gets crazy so get there early or expect to wait 20-30 min easily on a busy day. Not much space to sit inside, but there are seats outside too.
Al pastor and camaron tacos are my favorite. The california burrito is super filling.

Waited in line for 30mn but totally worth it. We had 3 burritos (pork, chicken and the California beef), the guacamole and some churros and we ate it on the beach west of the restaurant. What can beat that ? They are making all themselves and it tastes really good !

I queued for an hour at 5:14 on a Sunday night and waited for about 15 minutes. It was very delicious. The sauces ranged from spicy to mild. It was so enjoyable. It was worth queuing. A meal for five people cost USD100, including two points for a chenna bar + Two beers, highly recommended, at a famous local store ?

There are few indoor dining places, and there are some tables outdoors. You can take it out to the beach during the day.
