I lived in San Diego for over 10 years and just found this restaurant. I will be back, and often.
The atmosphere and service were excellent, the food was ok. The mole was very sweet and tasted like it came from a jar is my main critique, and it was poured all over both of our entrees. I'd definitely avoid their mole dishes.
It was so good I didn’t know I was eating vegan!

We found out this place will be closing at the end of January 2025, we found this vegan gem in 2024, and everything is so good. I honestly always get a bowl of their pozole because it's so good, filling, and it taste like regular pozole, even better for me. The jackfruit makes it seem like you're eating tender meat!
I'm sad that they will be gone, but I hear they're going to Long Beach and make a vegan plaza! It's time for a visit in the future! Thank you for the food that you always put puro, amor. Thank you

Boooooo They somehow have gone about getting reviews that point out that the owners are selfish, bad people deleted. They should be ashamed of themselves. The food is not even good, and the vibes are not it. Go somewhere else.
I've been seeing The Village pop up on Happy Cow for a while now, so it was time to give it a try. I am so glad that I did. Their menu is quite plentiful, and it was hard to decide what to try on my first visit. I settled on the mushroom fajitas, and WOW, was it amazing. I am so looking forward to my next visit. Yet another vegan eatery to put on my rotation.
Expensive! Not worth the taste. Service was poor

This place share their kitchen with evolution fast food and my review is for evolution specifically. This place hand down has the worst service and food. We came with family and some of them ordered before us and we got our food quick but they waited over hour and their food wasn’t even started cooking. Our food that we received was under cooked and mushy and awful.

I’m allergic to all seafood, but I love sushi. This place’s Village Roll is to absolutely die for. It lives up to all the positive reviews.
Waffle Sandwich served on weekends is also delicious. Chipotle sauce is only slightly spicy and so so savory.
Would 100% come back

The best part about this place is that it was dog friendly - they allowed us to bring our pet in!
