Lavender latte is heaven. Best coffee I’ve had in San Diego

They are a bit hidden. But friendly staff, clean place and superb coffee. The staff know their business.I loved the beans and the roast. I left buying the beans to brew coffee at home too. It's not a bakery but the croisant was also tasty.I will definitely go again.

Iced lavender latte was my go to! Ordered it a few times and it did not disappoint. I also bought some fresh beans from here that I'm excited to try! I would recommend this spot

Like the name. Sounds West coast. Logo is very nice. Website easy to read. Easy to figure out product availabilty. Like the foam art pictures.

This is a small spot with decent coffee around the south of downtown core location. I came here a few times during one visit as our airbnb was very close to this spot. Overall, coffee is ok, pretty standard fare, nothing specialty or third wave about this place, and the service is just ok as well. Because of location, there are often protests outside. I would not recommend black or drip coffee from here, they have it sit around for a while so it tastes less fresh. Pour overs are the way to go, unless you're looking for an espresso based drink.

The BEAN! I had only ever been to the one in Bankers Hill which is aesthetically a vibe. But the one in downtown is pretty dope too. Baristas rock too it's always a good time there can't go wrong with any drink

Never ever coming back. Another Yelp 4-5* review fail. Coffee was ok, like 3 *. But when I bought pastries for my kids for breakfast they warmed those up in the plastic!!!! How is it ok. It is even not safe to eat anymore. Drip coffee was very sour.

I had high hopes for the coffee here but unfortunately, the cappuccino was disappointing. There wasn't enough foam in the milk and there was also bit too much of it. The single origin coffee beans were reasonably priced and decent though.

Look no further for the best pumpkin spice latte in San Diego. Seriously, the coffee here is always authentic, perfectly roasted and I look forward to my daily stop at this location. All the employees are GEMS! They go above and beyond every morning with a huge smile, remembering my name and order and just generally brightening my day! Keep it up!

Ordered a cold brew from here, the coffee was strong and definitely gave the energy I was hoping for. When I came the store was empty so the service was pretty fast. One thing that was odd was that the inside of the store smelled like a dirty restroom so I opted to enjoy my coffee outside. Other than that it was pretty good.

Stopped by for 2 coffees and the WestBean staff were fast, friendly and served great coffee! The shop is located in a great spot too - easy access to hotels and the Gas Lamp District.

The coffee was okay. Had an americano. I felt it was overpriced. Even with a 20% coupon, their medium sized cup was over $5. Ouch!

I haven’t been able to find a place to get a good pour over in San Diego; the girl that made the pour over didn’t seem to know what she was doing, water too hot and didn’t use the proper filter; coffee tasted like burnt coffee.
