Good service, lots of space to hang out and play games or watch sports. Beer is ALL good! They currently have a cookie pairing available, beers matched with Girl Scout cookies ? Fun way to try more beers and eat cookies! Otherwise, hit up the food truck outside for tasty grub!

I just like the beer and the people. Also the dogs.

With all the breweries in san diego it's hard to stay competitive and in the game. This one seems to not care to be in the game. Large space in the back around the bar and small neighborhood feel, but hard to find a good tasting beer and behind the bar was an reasonably rude beertender.

Merry ChristmasFun afternoon, having beers with our friend. Thank you, Joseph, for taking of us.

Small brewpub with a well curated selection and a low key vibe. Nice place.

Definitely a very chill place. Considering the large space there was limited seating which I guess is why they set a few tables outside for extra seating. The staff and the regulars are certainly friendly and very inviting but for some reason this place fit a bit off. Who knows, it could just have been the time of day I was there but if Friday Happy Hour doesn’t send off good vibes than what does? ??‍♂️ Don’t let me be a keyboard warrior here because everyone’s experiences will always vary but for me, this wasn’t it. Check the place out, grab some food, and see for yourself. Still all about keeping it local! Enjoy.

Thorn is a great local brewery spot in north park!

One of my favorite breweries in San Diego. We have so many to pick from but this is definitely the place to be. Their branding is super cute and their beers are unique and tasty!

Knocked out another San Diego brewery, this time it is Thorn Brewing Company! This brewery has several locations in the San Diego area but this location is what we focused on. For this brewery Steve and I tried one of their beers and we enjoyed it fairly well. The beer that we had was the Endless Cycle IPA from a beer series of theirs called the Essential IPA Series. This particular IPA was enjoyable and refreshing to be sure. Similar to other IPA'S we have had of many breweries past but nothing to complain about in the slightest. Flavor highlights to expect with this is hoppiness and bitterness as well as a resinous presence to provide a more organic spin to this particular beer experience that we had with this particular beer.

What a great little brewery...that's not so little! LOL! I have driven by many times and just thought they had that small storefront. I've even gotten noodles from the truck in front, and still thought it was small. But then colleagues invited me out and I couldn't believe how big the back is! They are also dog friendly which I'll have to bring Cako to. I'm not a big beer drinker but they had some hard seltzers which worked since I'd had vodka earlier. The staff is great! They close at 9 but allowed us to stay until we were finished while they cleaned. Definitely worth checking out. The corner of 32nd and Thorn has become a small little haven!

Wonderful local bar with an amazing selection of beer, and while it's very family/dog friendly, it's accessible to all. The beer tenders are all very knowledgable, and go out of their way to match you up to a beer that you will enjoy.

I really want to like this place but the staff makes it very hard. The atmosphere here is really nice, you're allowed to bring in local food, and they offer cool party games you can play. However everytime I come here (2-4 times total), I always get really weird service from the same lanky bartender with the comb over. It's like a combination of him being rude and or tweaky. I also asked about the beers they have, since I used to only drink their cucumber sour (Very good), and the guy gave me the most half assed seemingly annoyed response after questioning my friend and I about buying beers for others. I don't know how he even jumped to that conclusion when two of us are standing there with our IDs out. Stuff like this blows when you also work industry and expect a local spot to be more informative and welcoming to their guest. My restaurant has multiple thorn beers on tap that I don't want to support because of this guys service alone. The cherry on top is that the beers are never cold! They always feel around room temp.

Well, I don't know about you, but I think that customer service is everything in any business, especially when it comes to a brewery. Nobody wants to go out for a drink and leave feeling like they've been hit by a ton of bricks. You want to find a place with great service, a fantastic atmosphere, and of course, delicious beer. But, if you go to a place and the person serving you can't even manage a simple hello or thank you, and hands you your drink with a face like a slapped arse, you're not going to feel good about being there. And that's exactly what happened to us. We ordered a beer and were met with such a poor reception that my beer-loving husband wanted to leave for another bar before we'd even finished. Look, if you don't like working with people, then find another job! Working with people means smiling and being friendly to whoever you have to serve, it's that simple! So, if you're looking for a good time with good beer and great service, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. Cheers to finding a better brewery!

Great selection of brews. The noodle truck provided awesome food to go with a nice cold brew.

Thorn St is one of my favorite breweries! Everything about it is so perfect. Their beers are amazing, I love the branding plus the space is really big! They host a ton of fun events and typically always have a food truck outside. We attended their trivia night on Wednesday and the place got popping. For a table I would recommend getting their early (trivia started at 7!) The place is dog friendly too so it adds to the charm!
