This place is so dope. Me and my friend usually avoid Pacific Beach for many reasons but we gave it another chance and stumbled upon this bar on a Sat night. They have the most random decor and music and we loved it!!! They played one direction, Taylor swift, Cardi B, Megan thee stallion, Glee music, Kanye, Zedd, Martin Garrix, Ke$ha, Black Eyed Peas, Vampire Weekend, etc. it was soooo random and fun ? we said itās āmusic for the entire friend group.ā The drinks arenāt as overpriced as other bars and the people inside were fun. It got packed but 10/10.
Visited with friends Wednesday. The bartender (donāt know his name, but a tall guy) found me at the other side of the bar and said āhey I owed you an extra $5 in changeā. I just thought it was cool, never had a bartender be so honest. Kudos.

I hadn't been to a bar in years, and I felt like trying to relive my glory days. Thrusters was right by my hotel, so I thought, why not? I arrived about midnight, I don't remember the day, but it was a weeknight, and there was karaoke. It was fun listening to people butcher songs. The drinks seemed fairly inexpensive for a bar located a block from the beach. I met a couple of decent folks. The only negative I experienced was when the guy at the bar next to me disputed his bill. The female bartender pulled the ole you're making me uncomfortable line and had security escort the guy out. Seemed kind of excessive, the guy just asked a question, he wasn't rude or anything. Other than that, I had a great time. I almost got some nookie too. I had fun stumbling around PB when the bar closed. I'm definitely planning on going back, excellent little dive bar. It's nice that it's open til 2 when most of the bars in PB close at midnight. I tried a couple others on my way to thrusters, like the shore club etc and they definitely weren't my scene.
I recently visited Thrusters Lounge and had an appalling experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff at the entrance displayed overtly racist behavior. They were rude, dismissive, and made discriminatory comments that made me and my friends extremely uncomfortable.
Inside, the atmosphere did not improve. The service was slow, the drinks were overpriced and poorly made, and the overall vibe was unwelcoming. It was clear that this establishment does not prioritize respect or quality.
I strongly advise against visiting Thrusters Lounge. There are plenty of other places that value diversity and provide a much better experience.
