I've always heard good things about this place and it's the oldest bar in San diego so I had to go see for myself. The bar was a fun old san diego saloonish style with an old cash register under glass and old painting. The drinks were good, we got a jack n coke and a rum n coke, nothin too wild. Greatest vibe I've had in a long time. Felt instantly at home, had instant rapport with the owners that are actively on/off-site involved daily. Their family history is spoken throughout the many photos, autographs and other memorabilia placed throughout the venue.
Servers were quick to greet, serve and even mingle when time allowed. You know it's a great place when staff prefers to relax on site during their breaks with patrons that have become friends.
