Alexandria, the operations manager, is very rude. She should not be working in a customer service based industry.

If you're staying in Gas Lamp District, and convenience is your criteria this is 5 star. I would think if you have a family, this would also be a good choice (free breakfast). That said, this property is outdated and the room (we supposedly had a 1 bedroom) is just a suite- and very poorly designed. There is no way 1 person can watch tv without the other person being "involved". It is a very strange room lay out. Bed is uncomfortable and not the usually Marriott standard and the "kitchen" is a kitchenette- which is fine if you know that. Our coffee pot was broken, and one would think that would be noticed between room cleaning. TV didn't work, breakfast food was not good.

I was super excited when I saw the menu. Great variety of sandwiches and product explanation. Waited almost 35 minutes for the food to be unfortunately disappointed by the presentation and overall taste. The Turkey Brie cheese and Granny Smith apple sandwich was assembled very poorly, having a single slice of apple, cheese not spread, and the onions were large and overwhelming. Disassembled the sandwich myself at the bar, spread the cheese, removed half the onions, diced the apple, and spread for even taste. No love from the kitchen staff. The place was clean, and the bartender was very hospitable. He apologized for the long wait time and poor assembly. Final thoughts, BOH kitchen staff needs a revamp and consider implementing sauces or drizzle to elevate the sandwiches. They're almost there. They just need to tighten up a few things.

We stayed at this hotelMultiple problems that persisted throughout our stay-the major one being something in the refrigerator that would make a sound like a cup or iron nuts was ringing around; after the cooling system was over. We did get a complimentary snack box and two waters and a note from the guest services, though engineering didn't really resolve the problem; despite us getting reassurance they did more than once. Great spot to be right where all of the action that's around, and steps away from Petco Park-so that's a win. All in all a okay place, just disappointing experience overall.

The hotel was nice and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel itself was very clean. The staff was friendly. The area is very busy (there was a baseball game that day). The area is very loud. We walked down the street to get some dinner and my head was pounding from all the noise. There is also a lot of smoking in the area (not the hotel itself just the surrounding area). It was a bit of a struggle to get to the hotel (terrifying when a driver tried to turn the wrong direction onto a one way road changed his mind and almost hit us when he was swerving back and forth). $60 for parking is outrageous.

We needed a family friendly hotel near PetCo and this one was perfect! Parking is valet only but has in and out privileges at $60. It sounds like a lot but it is way cheaper than all the parking garages in the area. It does not have a electrical vehicle charging station. Breakfast is free and it was expansive! We stuck to oatmeal but they had cereal bar, toast/bagel bar, egg/meat/potatoes, fruit, and yogurt station. The rooms were perfect for a baby and they gave us a pack n play. The only con is that the sofa bed was terribly uncomfortable but thankfully we were able to use the pack n play in lieu of crib (used the couch cushion inside as "mattress"). There is a CVS one small block away and a Ralphs about 3 blocks away. The kitchen has everything you need except a bottle brush which we found at Ralphs. There are so many great restaurants/bars walking distance, Petco is less than 5 min walk, Coronado Island was a 12 min drive, and the zoo was also about 12 min drive.

Local and been meaning to stop in! Glad I finally did. Yes, another post about Ivan and his incredible drink making skills and knowledge! My drinks were over the top perfect and I had to get a grilled cheese! Everything was amazing and can't wait to come back.

Stayed here for a week in June. Location is everything here! It's in the Gaslamp district and a quick walk to downtown, a block away from the ballpark, and about a ten minute talk to the ferry to Coronado Island. I landed around 1 pm PT and they let me check in early. I simply messaged them on the Bonvoy app and they confirmed my room was ready. This made life so easy because I was exhausted and could nap first.Breakfast was good each day with a good variety of options to cater to everyone. It ends a little early but worth getting up for. The gym is a tad bit small and oddly shaped so a lot of us would take the weights out to the pool and lift there. My room (on the eighth floor) overlooked the gym and pool (on the third floor) and it was pretty to see the sunset each night. The room setup was strange with the tv being off the side essentially behind the bathroom sink and mirror (separate from the tub and toilet).I forgot my makeup remover wipes and they provided me with enough for my stay. They were friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

Comfortable although small place, the bar has 30% of the available space, the bathroom is in another area, high prices for the product they deliver, it caught my attention that they do not accept cash and when I asked the waiter, I did not understand the reasonParking: Not available, I had to walk more than 5 blocks
