This place used to be my family's go-to sushi spot for over 10 years. However, ever since the new management/owner it's gone down hill each visit. Super sad to watch since it is quality food. Everyone's very kind, but the service and organization is no longer there. They were clearly very understaffed. (First time I've ever seen) We waited 45 minutes for our food; they finally offered free edamame or soup to customers since people were complaining. When we finally got our food, they forgot a roll and certain parts of the rolls.

My boyfriend and his kids love coming here. For me, it's just ok. I didn't think the some of the fish was particularly fresh. The tuna tasted really fishy. The sashimi salad had some leaves that were beyond wilted, so I didn't enjoy having to pick out some dark pieces of lettuce. The salmon sashimi was good and I liked their soft shell crab. Their price is cheaper in comparison to other sushi restaurants, but the quality is reflected in the price. This is one of those sushi places that I will try once and would not elect to return if it were up to me. It's not horrible, but certainly not in my top 10 places to go for sushi.

The food is really good. We had the stuffed tomato and the crispy yellowtail ceviche appetizers and they were amazing. Service was attentive too. Thumbs up!

I haven't been here in so long and I don't know how I forgot about it. So insane! My ABSOLUTE favorite sushi restaurant in San Diego. Hands down! Both servers we had were also so kind and welcoming as well. The food was phenomenal! My last meal before my foot surgery tomorrow and I couldn't have chosen a better place.

Went on a weekend and the service was wonderful. Ambiance is a bit chaotic but that did not deter us from trying the ramen , butter garlic edamame, philli roll and various other rolls. Fresh Japanese beer on tap as well as other saki and non- alcohol options. We also tried the stuffed "tomato" and this should not be missed. The menu items were relatively reasonable $$. Mochi for dessert. Yum. Parking is ok in the evening. Neighborhood is meh. Try it you'll like it!

im visiting SD and this sushi spot never disappoints. I told my sister if she wants a bomb lemon roll we HAVE to come here. Our server was a young man ( jin i believe his name was, i could be wrong) and he was excellent! the service was so good, as usual and so was the food! this will always be my go to spot for a lemon roll and baked mussels, i am sooo obsessed!!

My husband and I are new to the area and came across this amazing sushi place. Their portions are big. We ordered the baked salmon roll, philadelphia roll and their crunchy shrimp tempura roll. Everything was delicious. The server was really friendly and at the end of payment he even offered our daughter some free ice cream. We are definitely recommending this place and coming back with friends and family

The food was great the service was great. A really nice touch was when the owner walked around to every table introduced herself and asked how our meal went and if we needed anything. You don't see that very much anymore.

I've been here a few times and I love it. I always order the sushi combination and it is absolutely delicious. I have never been disappointed with this place.

Solid sushi spot. I ordered a simple spicy tuna roll ($10) and the cats roll (shrimp, crab, avo, tuna) ($15.50). The cats roll was great! Super fresh and good quality. The spicy tuna was tasty but the texture was a bit off. More mushy than usual. The service is good staff is friendly and there's plenty of parking. I'd definitely come back.

Went yesterday and got food poisoning. Sushi, sashimi and miso tasted like it was made non-fresh. Quality of this place went so much downhill, so I won't be returning any more. It's sad as this place used to be great.

I used to eat here all the time before the pandemic on my lunch breaks with colleagues and the food was usually pretty decent. I ate here for the first time since 2019 before the SDSU Basketball game because Dirty Birds (across the street) had no open parking and we were extremely disappointed. My sushi rolls were falling apart, the flavor was questionable, and I couldn't even finish eating it because it made me feel sick . I rarely give a bad review, but when you spend $100 for two people you expect to have better quality food. We even left the game early because we had upset stomachs from the food. The service was good and the staff were nice, so that was a plus.

Great atmosphere, apps were great but I literally cannot trust a place that waters down their soy sauce(or uses any brand of soy sauce that tastes watered down). Like come on, soy sauce is so crucial to a yummy bite of nigiri. It ruined my sushi eating experience ?
