We shared food and everything was fine I guess, not all that great but certainly edible. Definitely not worth the price.

Good food. Great drinks. Mediocre service. Good ambience, that you pay for with a pricy menu.

I had to book a table 2 weeks in advance to be able to have a table, and they put me and my family sitting at a coffee table. Impossible to eat like that, so uncomfortable. My mother in law and father in law had the worst experience trying to eat a hamburger sitting on a sofa with no way to rest their back and leaning forward to reach the food and trying to not drop everything on their clothes. Horrible. Way to serve dinner if they clearly are just trying to be a bar?

Amazing environment. Service was phenomenal. Went for our anniversary, and luckily got the best seat in the house. The place was perfect for that romantic date night. Was hoping for an amazing sunset but the clouds got in the way a little. How come TopSail couldn't take care of that for us? Hahaha. Just kidding, can't fix the weather. Regardless TopSail is TOP notch! Thank you for such an amazing night. My girl loved it! luckily

Everything was fantastic, the service was perfect and the food was delicious. We were there to celebrate my friend's birthday and our server made it very special. It was a wonderful experience and very much recommend it!

Great location since you are on the top floor right next to the water. The food was good. Crab cakes were a bit bland though. The blackened salmon salad and the lobster mac & cheese were great. Would definitely go again.

This was my second time at Topsail at Portside. On a hot summer day, the breeze over the water was very refreshing. For cocktails, I had an aperol spritz, my friend had a Spa Day - an herbal/cucumber cocktail. Pricy drinks, but that is typical in waterfront restaurants in San Diego. They both were well made and generous in size. My friend had the Ahi sliders - this would be a good dish to share if you were doing that. I love shared plates usually, but I was really in the mood for the Blackened Salmon Cobb Salad, which is not an easy dish to share. For some reason, maybe a busy kitchen, there was no dressing on the salad, but some was brought out to me. The citrus dressing was the the perfect tang for a summer salad. This salmon piece was perfectly cooked and a good size portion. This was a beautiful, healthy delicious salad. Someone near us ordered the charcuterie board. It looked delicious and was quite a large board of goodies, not just a few slices of cheese, jam and 4 pieces of bread like you might find elsewhere. In fact, I would say this was a 3 or 4 person board to share. The beautiful waitress was very nice and attentive. I definitely recommend Topsail at Portside.

Our server was perfectly fine, got the job done no complaints. I got the fish and chips and was really disappointed with the fries, cold and soggy but the fish was wonderful. My girlfriend had the lobster Mac and cheese and it was pretty good, nothing spectacular. Def a nice place to go once or twice.

Bravo! 👏👏. Topsail was absolutely superb. Their service was excellent and very accommodating. They graciously expanded our reservation from 5 to 10 and permitted our group to stay a “tad bit” longer then the 2 hour max. Food was great. Drinks were wonderful. Service and hospitality were top notch. Topsail's view of the SD Bay was just stunning. Thank you!

Top sail was okay. We sat at a low top table with the a gorgeous view of the water. The cocktails were good. Blackened salmon cobb salad was great. We also ordered the Ahi sliders and lobster sliders. They were ok. Good for bar food. Never saw a dessert menu and we were trying to celebrate a birthday. There was a wedding or something going on I'm an extra room attached to the restaurant. It was so loud. We would go back for happy hour or to watch a game but not for dinner.

The view of the water is the best thing ... the food not so good the drinks pretty good . We went the night of a baseball game but we couldn't see the TV from our seats. Overall it's ok just not what I expected

Food over priced and bland. Waitress was not nice and had attitude. Celebrated my birthday and put that in notes and no one acknowledged that. Not a big deal on that but bad service def made it worse. View was cool tho
