Do not come here unless you want your phone or money to go missing . The staff are in it too so be careful with your stuff. They will grab it from your purse or back pocket. Do not leave anything in the bathroom, once u leave it there it will not be returned even if the staff fined it. Friend lost phone here and it was located at TORO when we asked they said they had nothing although it marked there. Next day phone was there and later located in TJ. Do not trust the staff there or anyone they will keep your stuff.

If you look drunk the bartenders will take advantage and add their own tip when you're paying for your drink! So please make sure to check when paying bc a woman bartender that made my drink charged me for my AMF and then before turning the screen around to me she clicked on the tip button and gave herself a $5 tip. I'm all for tipping but as an employee, it's not up to you to tip yourself the amount you want.

Came here for saint patties weekend!!! Music was awesome and so was the staff. Natalia behind the bar was super friendly & attentive. I'm hoping I can get in contact with a manager I left some pictures behind the bar that I had asked for them to hold and would love to get them back.. the frame says City cruises. Thank you !!!!

If you want your phone and credit card stolen. Come here! There has been multiple complaints within the past year and haven't done anything about it! I honestly think they have something sketchy on behind closed doors.

BEWARE THEFT! Signs are posted outside the venue regarding phone theft. Since there is a lot of phone theft, you would think they would do a better job preventing this from happening. Ive been spending my nights out in Gaslamp for the past 7 years and this has been the only spot where my phone got stolen. This place is one of the newer bars, and I expected from the amount of theft they have been having, they would have a better system for the amount of traffic coming in and out but it just seemed like they just wanted to get as much people in as they can. Whoever stole my phone had the audacity to open my bag and take it from there. There was an upstairs and downstairs and I am most certain my phone got stolen in the downstairs area. Downstairs was way more packed and you are literally rubbing up against other people which is why i probably did not notice the theft in action. Do not go here and if you do keep your belongings very close.

If you’re black from a urban area avoid going here. Toros main security named Alonzo loves his job because he’s given power by Toro to ban people without actual proof of them doing anything. This guy claimed I am banned because I got in the way of a fight? Huh? That’s the weakest excuse to ban someone. Power trip because he can. Mind you, the last time I been there I didn’t recall seeing a fight the night I was there whatsoever. Sounds like he’s just making up a lie to cover up his views on certain race of people. I even asked the other security about it. They didn’t even know what the Alonzo guy was talking about. But they was too scared to speak up and say anything so they went along with whatever he was saying. Security guards like Alonzo is the worst because you can do absolutely nothing and be banned just because he said so.

Good but not the best. The music was wtv and really packed in there which im not complaining because honestly better then it being empty but you get lost in there.
i tried to give this place a chance but after being disappointed every single time i went, i have to leave this review and hopefully they will take this feedback into consideration. the music is horrible. i really appreciate that they play latin/reggaeton because nobody else does which is why i tried to give this place a chance but they need to update their playlist. every single time it's the same songs over and over and over again. (mind you, i went a few times over the years) sometimes they even play the same SONG 5+ times throughout the night! also, if i'm downstairs for LATIN music, i don't want to hear EDM or C*rdi B . Drinks are pretty pricey for them to be using the cheapest alcohol out there. Security is on the BIGGEST power trip ever. There's no need for them to be so rude. I don't think it's even worth the $10 to listen to the same songs all night while being packed like sardines.

had a solo night out last night for new year’s eve. after getting in everything was great, the security was so nice and helpful. bartenders were also so awesome, fast, and accommodating.only cons were that they charged me a HUNDRED dollars to get in but told me it was $50 when i was in line and also that they ran out of red bull of new year’s eve :/otherwise, after making it inside…the experience was really great for a new years spent solo!

I used to love toro but its just gotten worse every single time Ive gone.. I went tonight and the “security” checked my bag and forced me to get rid of my pepper spray; when ive always carried pepper spray and its never been an issue.. not to mention the bathroom is a mess and their hallway seats smell
