It's ight not the best.
Pretty sure this place isn't open anymore
You can only eat outside. With restrictions being lifted Hopefully the dining room will open soon.
Had a nice dinner on the outside patio. Otherwise no indoor dining.
Overall very good food and service.
I’d never been there before but I went there on my lunch hour (which I only have 30 minutes of) hoping I’d be in and out quick and my California roll was ready in 5-6 minutes! Super quick, very fresh and good portion, very satisfied and I will be coming back!
Favorite weeknight quick sushi place or over a decade, the Spicy Cilantro roll is my favorite.
Lunch date at "Tsuruya Sushi" today was awesome. From the moment we entered the restaurant our waitress KIM was fabulous. She greeted us, showed us to our table and provide incredible customer service. This was the best experience I have had here.KIM was so polite, courtesy, friendly and helpful. She pointed out specials on the menu and made several recommendations. One of which was to come back for the Happy Hour, Monday-Friday 3-6pm.Of all the wonderful customer service she provided the one most impressive thing she did was to not interrupt my husband and I when we were blessing our food. We had received our appetizers and was in the middle of blessing the meal when she had returned with our drinks. Instead of placing our drinks on the table she stood off to the side and waited until we were finish with our blessing. How cool is that?Awesome job KIM!The food of course was amazing as always. The combo lunch special was light but filling: baked tuna, sashimi tuna, potstickers, a salad and rice.I ordered a Lobster Crunch and Shrimp Tempura sushi rolls. The flavor was amazing. The atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable a fabulous lunch date.
I've had better store bought sushi was a joke I can believe this place has a 4.5 maybe because I got 1.5 service.
Excellent but a little pricey authentic Japanese food. The lunch specials are priced right for the amount of food you get.The noodles are amazing. The service was outstanding.
Restaurantji Recommends
Would like some more soy sauce tho. Lol.
FAVORITE SUSHI SPOT IN ALL OF SAN DIEGO
We went there last night. Presentation was amazing. Sushi was so fresh. Amazing customer service. 5 out of 5
Fresh fish, generous portions and friendly staff. This has been my go-to sushi spot for over a decade. The sashimi is especially good here, which is always a good sign for a sushi spot. Highly recommended!
My favorite sushi restaurant in the area! Always phenomenal, fresh sushi prepared correctly + great service. This hidden gem is also rarely busy enough for me to have to wait to be seated.
