We had the most delicious lunch at Umi! Don't hesitate to stop by and check out the lunch or dinner menus. They have a vast selection of yummy fresh food. Portions are just right and prices are fair. We will definitely go back!

Ordered sushi combination with assorted nigiri ?… very fresh and tasty. Also ordered toro and blufin nigiri… definitely best place for sushi. They had fresh wasabi which is my favorite to top my nigiri. Their miso soup was excellent as well; not too salty or too light. The roll options were great for the rest of the family. Very long list of unique and traditional rolls. I prefer sashimi and nigiri, but my family inputed on the rolls and they were all very satisfied with the different types. They may be a bit addicted to some of the rolls and be coming back too often. Would recommend to anyone needing a sushi spot in San Diego. It was nice that the restaurant is right on Shelter Island Dr. We took a nice walk down to the bay afterwards.

I love the chirashi bowl here. The value is exceptional for the amount of fish you get and quality/taste are amazing. I love the variety. I have only had the miso soup otherwise, but I will continue to come back for my regular order because it’s reliably delicious, filling, fairly inexpensive for the ingredients, and the service here is good, friendly, and quick!Parking: I’ve never had trouble parking in the lot.

We ate here a couple of nights ago without any expectations and were blown away. We will definitely be back! We experienced the fun ambiance of sitting at the sushi bar and a wonderful meal. They have fresh wasabi which we love. Everything was great, we were very happy with the service. My favorite dishes were the tempura salmon and even more so the salmon nigiri.
