If you want really tough beef, you've found your spot! If you want to spend a d*** amount of money for a taco or burrito, you've found your spot. Drinks are actually pretty solid, but so is every other restaurant. Avoid at all cost.

Ok folks! Today I looked at the daily specials and decided to get creative and try the chilaquiles! Omg! Delicious! The picture doesn't even show how awesome the food was! So now on Tuesday's I'll be getting the $6 taco deal and Wednesday's the $8.95 chilaquiles deal! Check them out if you're in the neighborhood!

Fresh handmade tortillas! Wasn't expecting that, yet pleasantly surprised. The carne asada was cooked perfectly. The shrimp taco had all the try fixings and good size shrimp. The fish taco was so-so. The free small bag of chips is a nice touch. They have good creamy Chipotle sauce. We will be back!

If SD wasn't known for their Mexican food, I could see this place doing a lot better. People visiting SD are naturally gonna wanna go to the more popular spots but I genuinely think Un Mundo is underrated! One night, my roommates and I were really craving Mexican food but weren't willing to drive out too far to get some. La Jolla doesn't seem to have that many authentic Mexican restaurants so we ended up here- but no regrets. We were all surprised at how good and filling our meal turned out to be! I got the surf & turf burrito ($11-12) and it was delicious. I only finished half because that thing is pretty damn big- they don't skimp out on the protein! The cashier lady was a little frustrating because she kept messing up everyone's orders but she was so sweet that we couldn't even be mad. Good customer service. Decent parking. Delicious food. (I'm now craving a burrito)

We came here for taco Tuesday! Honestly, it was a great deal. 3 tacos, some tortilla chips, and a beverage for only $6 so I can't really complain. I got carnitas, chicken, and carne asada. My friend got al pastor (across). The chips were really good, and the plate came with three sauces (green tomato, tomato salsa, and habanero). The tacos had a pretty decent amount of meat on them. The meat didn't have too much flavor, and the asada was kinda dry and over cooked. It came with an onion and cilantro garnish on top. Not too much flavor, but definitely a good deal for the price! I also saw a sign that said happy hour margaritas (several different flavors) and pina coladas for only $2 from 2-5 (with purchase of a burrito). I didn't try but it seems like a steal! I'll probably order something else next time I come because I wasn't too impressed with the tacos (but still a great deal!) Ps: you have to pay for parking and only get a discount with validation. Just a heads up!

At first I was not a fan of Un Mundo, but it really has adapted as it saw fit and changed for the better. First it was like Chipotle but on cards, make your own order and now it has a set menu and beer and wine. The fish tacos were really tasty and the papas fritas are great. I miss the inexpensive quesadilla though. Now that I know Un Mundo has come so far, I will definitely be a more frequent customer !

Came here for lunch today based on the reviews and pics on yelp. It was good! I liked my carne asada bowl. I added jalapeí±os for some extra spice. One of my daughters got the nachos with grilled chicken and she loved it! My other daughter ordered the fajita burrito and did not like it at all. I tried hers and thought is was okay but not too great. My husband got the spicy shrimp taco and loved it! The service was good!

I used to looooove Un Mundo. The first time I had the sunrise burrito was such a happy memory. Since then I've gone a handful of times and even convinced my manager to get Un Mundo catering for work. I've felt that the quality has gone down a little over time. It's still pretty good food but not super amazing like I thought it was before. This weekend changed my entire opinion of this place. I went to order a couple of burritos on Saturday night and the woman working the cashier was unfriendly and rude. I had a frequent buyer card that says "buy 12 entrees, get the 13th free! Entrees consist of any burrito, bowl...." She refused to give me two hole-punch's for 2 entrees and said that it only counts as 1 per visit. Now that's not how any frequent buyer cards work (ie. see Sprinkles perks). At the end of the day it's not the fact that I couldn't get my fair number of hole-punched that ruined my positive feelings toward Un Mundo but rather this employee's attitude. Nothing ruins decent food like bad service. ***UPDATE*** I was contacted about this incident by the business owner. He agreed that each entree counts as a punch and said that the cashier would be properly trained. A good business owner takes the time to truly listen to customer feedback, and William fits that definition. I'm very pleased by their customer service and look forward to the next burrito.

The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly. They keep adding more items to their menu from time to time.

Un Mundo has come SOOOOOO far!!!! My first review here was about how much I disliked it, my second review was about how it was improving, and my third review has me finally giving them the four stars they have earned (I need to try some more menu items before I give them the 5 star)! The reason I have gotten hear is because of how delicious their El Jefe burrito is!!! You NEED to give it a try because it has amazing flavor, tastes authentic, and is HUGGEEEEE. Hats of to Un Mundo for continually improving themselves.

What a shame. You should remove "Mexican Grill" on your restaurant name. I ordered Carne Asada Bowl and I was disappointed very much. Carne asada served cold, when server delivered the food, the meat was cold, fries were cold, cheese was cold. I first thought that chesse will melt it but I was wrong, because meats and fries were cold, cheese didn't even melt. Also, salsa they serve us was water down salsa and didn't have any other choice of salsa or Cholula.

Well First thing is I was Craving Mexican Food !! So I decided to stop by this Restaurant and give it a Try !! Now as I was Walking in the worker at the counter was nice and welcome us and gave us time to look at the menu so we decided to go with the So Cal Burrito !! And I ask her can you cut it in half and she did . So I have to say good service . Now the So Cal Burrito comes with Fries in it !! Boy was it good !! I do suggest you try it for yourself . Now the parking here is kind of small but I was lucky enough to find a space to park . The So Cal Burrito comes with Chips and Salsa . Please don't forget to check in to get your free drink . My overall experience is good and if I happen to be in the area again then I will for sure try it again . I say give this Restaurant a Try and It is worth it !! The So Cal Burrito Costs about 11.00 Dollars but Tastes Really Good !! Yummy !!

Savory food, really love their "today's special--spinach burrito" and large size chips and guac. The tacos are pricey though.

It was ok. I'm a little surprised since it has 4 stars. Maybe our meal was an exception. My wife and I split their So Cal Burrito and split their Chicken Chilaquiles. So Cal Burrito thoughts. The good. It was big. Avocado was good. Fries were good. The not so good. Steak was pretty fatty and a bit tough. Overall not my favorite Cali Burrito. Chilaquiles Bowl with Chicken. It was a special. So maybe they're just trying it out. I can't handle a ton of spice and this thing had like a jalapeí±o tomatillo or something. I was sweating. So spicy it took away from the bowl. The chicken was good though. Overall, I just wish they had asked me how spicy I would have liked it.

I love that is taco joint opens early in the morning! Great location and amazing service! I tried the surf and turf burrito and it was huge! The house made tortilla chips and trio of salsas was a great touch! The habanero salsa is so tasty with a good kick at the end! This was my first California style burrito and the fries inside was a nice touch. Surprisingly not too dry!
