Heads up, I went years back in 2022 when COVID restrictions were finally being lifted. I wanted to find cool spots in Downtown to check out having come from Vista in North County.

If you like reggaeton then you will find this spot as a place on your list. Hey, don't call me out for stereotyping, but I thought this spot would be spinning Indian music because they are an Indian restaurant.

It was a small setup with the DJ in the corner playing on his laptop. Nothing fancy. They had the lights too going on with his set. There was no crowd, so it was easy to dance.

I got the mango lassi because I don't drink. It was sweet, smooth and lush. I would buy it again. I did not try the food though so don't quote me on that.

So, if you like reggaeton and have been to spots like Mr. Tempo or Karina's Cantina then you might visit here for more low-key vibes.

If you’re craving Indian food and want to wake up your taste buds, this place is perfect. The flavours are rich, the food tastes fresh, and every dish feels spot-on. The service is warm and quick, which makes the whole experience even better. A great spot to enjoy a good meal and walk out happy.

Being from an indo-pak, this review is solely based on the taste of the food. Most dishes barely had salt. We had to have them bring salt. They charged $4 for Raita which most restaurants give for free with grilled items. It’s either a raita or chutney. The tandoori chicken didn’t taste like it was smoked at all and was in a gravy like masala, which I have never had at any Indian restaurant. The masala tea was very light and lacked flavor. I think the highlight of the our meal was the gulab jamun which was cooked to perfection. Nice location, nice owner and waiting staff. We would probably not come back though.

I like the chicken tikka, I liked the vibe in gaslamp and the restaurant itself was good and clean.

This is by far the best Indian food I’ve ever had. The chicken was tender, flavors amazing, and food came out piping hot. The naan is a must to be added to any order.

The restaurant wasn’t clean. The mango lassi went straight to my throat and it hurt for a day. I ordered chicken karahi — it wasn’t good but just okay. The naan was fine. If you’re really hungry and just want to eat something, you can try this place, but don’t expect much taste.
