We had the Short Rib Flatbread and Grilled Chicken Club. I also had the Mojito. The flatbread was good and I would recommend. The Grilled Chicken sandwich was alright/average. Mojito was good as well. But the views and the atmosphere of the place was superb.

Veranda at Rancho Bernardo Inn is such a gem, and I feel fortunate to live nearby. My husband and I had a late lunch on Sunday, all while enjoying the prettiest sunshine and golf course view. Our service was excellent and our food was, too! Portions were just enough. I had eggs benedict w/asparagus, and my husband had a burger w/tots. Everything was really tasty! This will be a special occasion dining spot, and we'll look forward to trying more menu items in the future. Plan a few extra minutes (and bring comfortable shoes) to walk the grounds after your meal. It's so pretty and peaceful. The aroma from the spa retail shop was so relaxing...I didn't want to leave, lol. The spa facilities and pool are super dreamy. We really enjoyed the whole experience!

I love coming here but...let's chat about the real deal. First, the bottle corkage fee has hit a ridiculous amount of $35.00. As locals, that is going to drive us away. Note: you are being charged a surcharge of 4.95 percent on your meal. Of course, a tip is expected on top of that! You won't find your meal to be one you will take home in a box because the dishes are smaller portions with a healthy price tag. The bolognese dish offers a splash of sauce topping a thick pasta. Hefty price for a dish that you can't finish because the proportion is so off. The burger is on point and market salad for the win although again noting that it is a small portion. The salmon added as a protein was a nice portion almost too big for the proportion of the salad. Our server was excellent, from the water refills, answering our questions and overall service with a smile was thumbs up. The music was fantastic, Joe Cardillo is a joy to listen to. He is not there often but when he is might I suggest that you go.

Lovely evening outdoors in a beautiful location! The fare was fresh and flavorful. The service was attentive and patient. There is live music with a singer/guitar player. It was a nice touch. Would be better if he turned down his speaker. Most of us were there to have a meal and conversation with our dinner companions. The music is lovely -- in the background. We weren't there for a concert.

We were seated on the Veranda but wouldn't you know it started to rain. Moved to the inside and had one of the best meals we have had in a long time. Braised short ribs were fantastic. The bread pudding and the cheesecake smore's were amazing. Will be back soon!

We were celebrating Valentine's Day and my birthday. The restaurant notified us ahead of time that they were having technical difficulties and the menu would be limited. We appreciated the heads up and went ahead with the reservation. We enjoyed all aspects of the restaurant .. food, service, open air patio. They even noted that it was my birthday. We will be back.
A beautiful peaceful setting. The service was excellent. No vegan food. Due to the amount of people changing to Plant food it is important to add items to the menu to attract more customers

As a community member this is a fun place to go, you feel like you have traveled afar. The view is spectacular and peaceful, we enjoy bringing out of town guests here to dine. As expected, prices are up there and include the added percentage to your tab as many places do which makes me think twice about my frequency as a customer. It would be great if their inside bar had a more of a good old fashioned bar menu, separating it from the veranda restaurant. When I go to a bar I don't expect to look at big dollar menu items and anything fancy at that. Check out the music, some great talent to enjoy.

Breakfast with visiting family was awesome. The vibe of the place was just what we needed. The food - while a bit pricey - was delicious and well presented. We will be back more often.Parking: It’s a big lot, but often pretty full to accommodate the hotel, so patience is helpful.

Beautiful place for dinner outside. Unfortunately two of us ordered pasta and it was so over cooked it was soft and pasty tasting. They did credit us for one meal as I returned mine as inedible. We have been here many times and this was just an off night.
