Just truly good food, an unexpected experience. Food was authentic and nothing about the place was pretentious.

The restaurant was very loud. I had to yell across the table to be heard. Despite stating in reservations it was to celebrate my husband's birthday and telling the server, no mention of it was made. Disappointing.

Devin provided us with a wonderful experience. We loved the food & everything about Aqua Mare.

The food was amazing. The artichoke appetizer, garlic bread and salmon pasta was amazing. I'll be going back again.

Always a joy to dine here! The staff is always gracious and never rushes you. Can't wait to go back.

Fantastic experience! Beautifully prepared - interesting menu and lovely view of the estuary- , replete with snowy egrets gathering for the evening. We had such a lovely time! From the warm greeting of the hostess to the sweet wait staff, Brian and Lorensa our every need seemed anticipated and met before we even had to ask. The food was delicious- hot and beautifully fresh. Highly recommend this sweet restaurant!

Food was delicious. Prices are quite steep for most entrees. However, Margarita Pizza was very reasonable, and one of the tastiest I've ever had.

Terrible place to dine, we had to ask for a server after 30 mins of sitting, we had to ask for our food after 1hr, not exaggerating either. Skip it! If you are seated where there's no window there is nothing to look at. The food was over priced for tasting like something that came out of a can. I did appreciate the bussers though, they were so fast about giving us water and refilling them. We saw our server one time.

View and food were both very good. Service was slow. Even the waiter was aware of this and apologized a lot. He was very nice and personable so it made the wait seem not as bad. It was a very busy evening so maybe the wait was not typical.

The view and atmosphere was perfect for a date night. Seafood pasta dishes were customizable, which let us substitute in a different protein. Was not too crowded and the patio made for a great dining experience.

First time was a surprise. For Italian cuisine outstanding. The best Fried Calamari in SD and we've tried several places. We tried the Branzino from the regular menu and the Swordfish from the Special menu. Served hot, excellent preparation, delicate, moist and definitely to our taste. We will be back for sure.

Dined there three times in past month....excelllent new addition to Del Mar dining. Lovely views, family fun-atmosphere, excellent Italian fare. Reasonable priced.

The food, the service, and the ambiance at Aqua Mare are consistently outstanding. I especially appreciate the attentiveness and experience of the staff.
