Took my first restorative yoga class here last night with my husband. Really enjoyed the teacher, the yoga studio was spacious and newly renovated, and great quality props provided. Really cool that you can grab a bite and glass of wine after class too, which I plan to do the next time I come for class.

Super cute shop, wine bar, & food. Shop was cute. Bought a few things. Food had the crab cake sandwich. It was ok. Pineapple mimosa was good. Lots of champagne in it Service was good. Would go back. 4 instead of 5 because the food was so so.

Definitely a very cool spot. I stumbled across this place on Groupon and without a doubt I definitely got my moneys worth and had a great experience. The yoga studio in the corner of this business is very simple and has a clean feel to it. The biggest tip that I could give, compared to a lot of other studios in San Diego. The flooring here is very, very hard. It's definitely painful on my knees to practice, so take advantage of those blankets and padding provided in the back , they will make a world of difference. Then you'll be just fine :)

Obsessed!! It was my first yoga class here, thanks to ClassPass, and boy did I walk away with so much more!! I'm feeling quite giddy this gem exists right in my neighborhood! Class was Yoga for Mobility with Nam. It was everything I needed today. Walked in thinking it was probably more of a stretching and range of motion focus, but I was so wrong. I am so impressed by the anatomical technicality of this class, which today focused on quads and the use of a Tune Up ball. Nam is articulate, has a gentle voice, and is a great explainer (for lack of better words!) like I was listening to a physical therapist tell me how to do this at home and what my body is doing. It dawned on me partway through, there was no music, but I didn't miss it. Calm, welcoming vibes, and holy cow, my muscles are thanking me. After class, I connected with a classmate discussing a trip to Southeast Asia (someone said "Laos"--say whaaa?!"). I also learned that Nam does yoga retreats in different parts of the world. Also giddy at the thought of finding such a cool community here, again right in my backyard. Finally, cherry on the top was getting to know co-owner, Victoria, and learning what this genius yoga + wine bar / restaurant + adorable boutique shop + work space has to offer. I learned a new term, "hyper-local" which Vinya focuses on, from the vendors they choose in their little shop, to the mural artist, and the beers and wines they feature. I'm excited to learn about some of the folks here in Clairemont and experience their talent at Vinya. Outside the studio on their window is a great story (see pic) of their vision that was 6.5 years in the making with her husband. Power hustler couple right here!! Very much looking forward to my next visit, likely doing some work over coffee/wine in their spacious dining area and hopefully a date night soon! The ambience is inviting, calm, and like a big hug. There is definitely something for everyone here!!

I haven't been coming to Vinya for dining or as a community space, but rather for the yoga classes. I should say, however, that they host events and provide space for multiple Meetup groups, and that is fantastic to see. There's lots of room and parking, two things that are to be treasured!Mostly, I've been doing brunch time yoga here once a week for the past few months since moving to the area. The space is open, clean, welcoming, and big enough for everyone. I love that the yoga space is not heated, because hot yoga can be overwhelming for many folks. They have all of the straps, bolsters, and blocks that you could want, and they even provide cushy and supportive blankets that are in all sorts of fun and colorful prints. The teachers are very kind and helpful and offer many options if a certain pose is not accessible to you. They build on sequences and then put them all together for a flow that is as challenging as you want it to be. No two classes are the same sequence, but I can definitely feel myself improving over time. There are so many classes, as well. Some yoga studios offer classes at tough times to make, or they are always full. At Vinya, there are classes morning, afternoon, and night. I don't necessarily want to give away Clairemont's nice little secret, but.... This is a community space/yoga studio that I really like, especially as a relative newcomer to the area. I'd like to see more people come, and I encourage you, dear reader, to go. Take a chance like I did!

I guarantee you, you will walk-through the doors and step into amazement. I live in the neighborhood and when I heard about it, I thought I'm not so sure. I eat there regularly. I love the vibe and have taken yoga classes. I've attended community events (including respected guest Chefs) there and the wine selection, I've never seen anything like it. There's nothing similar to this in San Diego. So honored to have this business in Clairemont.
