Awesome food and service. Everything on the menu is incredible, the problem is deciding what to order. The ambiance is absolutely incredible. Highly recommend treating yourself to an experience here.

Great ambience and generally large portions of very unique vegan dishes, albeit pretty expensive. Unfortunately this was overshadowed by poor service (e.g. being seated 20 minutes after our reservation, 30 minutes between appetizers and entree with no warning/explanation).

David Lynch would love it here. Beautiful aesthetic. Food is always outstanding - it checks all the boxes of classic American steak houses in the 50's down to table side salad prep, baked Alaska, and throwback drinks. I LOVE the French onion soup, wedge salad, and potato chips with French onion dip and 'caviar'. The cherries jubilee were amazing this summer, and I just tried the new delicious bananas fosters. The crab cake was a showstopper

This place is nuts, literally. It’s 100% vegan. We had a reservation and it took over 45 minutes to be seated on a Saturday night. Restaurant was chaotic, seemed very understaffed and not well trained. The 2 stars are solely for the design and ambience. Hard place to enjoy if you are not a vegan. FWIW one round of drinks were comp’d but the service was just really, really slow. The Lafayette diner is open 24 hrs if you happen to need a burger after this.

I wanted so badly to love this place! Of course the vibe and atmosphere was amazing. Our service was very not… our waiter was not very kind and every time we spoke to her it seemed we were putting off. Also three times they were out of what we wanted (chef special, piccata, and Brussels) so that was disappointing. I know they’re going for a “steakhouse” feel but proves we’re pretty high for no sides to come with the entrees. Lastly our food took roughly an hour and 45 min to come out of the kitchen.

I’m sure they were busy, but when you’re paying this much (and a fixed added 20% tip) you expect better service. Like I said I really wanted to love it- but it really fell short. I’d spend my fancy night out elsewhere

Excellent service and food. We loved the modern vegan takes on classic elevated dishes. Don’t sleep on the table-side Caesar!

Great vegan fine dining! We loved the tableside ceasar. The dressing was made from scratch and very good. We liked temperature caviar service, very unique. We also had the crab cake and the parker house rolls. Highly recommend them both.

We can't wait to come back and try more of the entrees. We had the chefs social pasta which was excellent.

They have inventive craft cocktails and mocktails as well.

The Baked Alaska for dessert exceeded expectations

I suggest you go to Dreamboat afterward for a Mai Tai and a Malt. It is a fun way to end the evening.

We were impressed by the service. Very professional and a fine dining vibe. We enjoyed the decor and look of the bar.

We will be back and highly reccomend this restaurant for vegan and non vegans alike!

Visited a recently opened vegan restaurant in San Diego, owned by the same owner of my favorite spot, Kindred. The place feels like a well-kept secret since the entrance is hidden (you actually enter through the Dreamboat Cafe). Vulture has a great bar and appetizers, though the entree menu is on the shorter side.

Here’s what I tried and my thoughts on each dish:

Caviar Service – An appetizer with caviar and chips. They did a great job with the caviar—the texture felt just like real caviar—and it was served with a flavorful French onion dip.

Cocktail Meatballs – A few meatballs served with apricot BBQ sauce. Simple, but good.

Oscar – A very flavorful dish with a Beyond steak fillet and an interesting, tasty sauce. I really enjoyed this one.

Diane – A vegan steak that looked incredibly real, even mimicking the pink center of a traditional steak. The texture was spot on too.

Overall, it was a really interesting experience at Vulture—great ambiance, attentive service, tasty food, and a fresh new concept.

Amazing dinning room hidden behind a lunch counter. The vegan food was out of this world. Meets the high standards of Kindred.

Very impressed with this new vegan place, the atmosphere is elegant and not overly loud, food selection is amazing, offering classic fine dining options but finally vegan! Cocktails are 10/10 and careful curated.
Preferred sitting at a bar than the tiny tables in the dining booths.

An absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish! The craft cocktails were spot on—creative, balanced, and delicious. The appetizers were just as impressive, and the service tied it all together with genuine attentiveness. The atmosphere was relaxed yet refined, making it the perfect place to unwind. The highlight for me was definitely the Old Fashioned expertly made and unforgettable. A must-stop spot if you’re in San Diego! 10/10

Set speakeasy-style in the back of a diner, the atmospheric dining room of Vulture is a rejection of the Reagan era steakhouse with its all-vegan menu and bumping 80s deep cut soundtrack served in white suit jackets. Pretty much everything is good including the desserts, and there are many good NA/ mocktail options on the menu. Get the potato pavé and bathe everything good in this world in that dipping sauce to protect it from evil, that stuff is magic.

Truly a gem in San Diego! Dining here is an experience. Every dish was delicious and perfectly seasoned, with appetizers that were generous but not overwhelming. I had to keep reminding myself everything was vegan…the flavors and textures were so convincing it often felt like there was dairy. As a vegetarian, I can’t speak to the meat alternatives, but in terms of dairy substitutes and overall taste, everything was outstanding.

The service was equally impressive - attentive, thoughtful, and delivered by people who clearly enjoy what they do. That joy shows in the way they take care of you.

It’s tucked inside another restaurant called Dreamboat, so make sure you know that when you arrive. Prices are on the higher side, but absolutely worth it for the quality and experience.

10/10 would recommend, especially for people who don’t usually go to vegan spots. This is a place that could change your mind.

Restaurant magic begins behind the curtains as it opens up into a room full of elegant ambiance, yet very cozy. Seating allows for privacy in plain sight. Good sound quality; feel the energy of the room without being barraged by loud sound. Unique otherworldly decor adds to the dining experience.
