Great service at the bar! We enjoyed everything we ordered especially the grilled octopus.

Very accommodating staff - we arrived earlier than our reservation & the breeze was too chilly with the open window so they closed it quickly. They could not have been nicer. And the special birthday note & dessert for our daughter were super classy touches. The food was served quickly and it was very delicious - just a little pricey for the portion sizes. But well worth it for a special occasion.

Food was good. Service was slow and unattractive - seemed understaffed. Premium prices for small portions. Salad $20 included 4 small tomatoes and a few slices of avocado. Entrees did not include any sides (e.g , fish entree $46) was fish only, no rice, veggies, etc. I've been to other WaterGrills and had a better experience.

We had a great server and ordered two things to share and both were fabulous. I would defiantly recommend.

Service was top notch, oysters Rockefeller were great and Mexican swordfish on a bed of spaghetti squash was fantastic. Margaritas were very good too. We sat at the bar to watch game 1 of the World Series. This is a nice restaurant with a welcoming staff within walking distance of my hotel. Definitely recommend it!

Excellent meal with even better service by Bob. We chose Water Grill for a dinner during our long weekend in San Diego based on online reviews, and we're glad we did, as it turned out to be a very positive experience.

The food was over priced for the quality. It was not as good as before. The service was poor.

For it to be a crazy day with the Padres game going on, we got sat right away, with the best view of the busy downtown streets, and with the same amazing waitress as before, Jenn!!!!

DISAPPOINTED! Selected this restaurant because it was convenient and had many positive recent reviews, a large menu, and we were visiting family and attending a baseball game. Service was overall good, drinks were fairly priced for an upscale restaurant in San Diego, and ambiance was okay- but NOT off the charts spectacular compared to big city restaurants in this genre. Ordered cocktails, one salad, one entree, and crab cake appetizer to be served as entree. Presentation was standard, portions were remarkably SMALL, and prices were RIDICULOUSLY HIGH considering the skimpy portions, especially the halibut. Sadly, we left both fairly hungry and a bit underwhelmed. Unfortunately, don't think we'll be returning- and yes- we were celebrating a birthday.

Fantastic service and delicious food. Perhaps a little overpriced, but at least it's good.

The location was amazing. Central to hotels, Petco park and every bar you can imagine. The service was excellent. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. I gave the food 4 stars because while my dish was one of the best meals I have ever had (sea bass), unfortunately my husband's halibut was dry and lacking flavor. The server was very understanding and the manager took the meal off our bill. 10/10 in service overall! If you have a chance get the Sea Bass you will not be disappointed!!!

Oysters were great. Clam chowder okay. Swordfish was dry and had no flavor at all and scallops overcooked. Basically everything was bad to mediocre other than oysters which they really do nothing to other than serve.

Excellent meal! The abundance of seafood choices was almost overwhelming, but we quickly zeroed in on several. The salad was large and tasty, the halibut preparation was very creative, delicious and cooked to perfection, and the side of squash was the tastiest I've ever eaten. You can't miss here!

Entree and organic green salad was excellent . Shrimp from the raw bar were on the small side
