Good food and good employers

Consistently opens late on Saturday mornings, but I guess I am the only person who was hungry. I went to Burger King.

So unfortunately it seems Wendy's has changed their recipes and this is more of a review for their food and not their location.

The good (mostly about the location):
The location itself seemed clean in the lobby. The employees were good and quick.
The revival of the old signature sauce is good, but it has changed a little.

The bad:
All the old sauces are gone. My favorite sweet and sour sauce does not have a good replacement.

The jr chicken no longer uses a lettuce leaf, and opts for cheaper shredded lettuce which ruins the taste.

The vanilla frosty seems changed, I tasted an overabundance of vanilla in comparison to previous visits.

The fries have some additional seasoning which seems to have changed from the original salty taste I remember. The texture of the fries has also changed, and does not have the hardy taste I used to remember.

These food changes are from corporate and I do not appreciate it. Until corporate walks these changes back, I will likely opt for alternatives like in-n-out and Jack in the box.

So I was using the app and a coupon to purchase a sandwich. The app did not recognize the coupon so I ended up buying a sandwich. I tried again and it took forever to show up in the counter. I was able to activate the coupon, then the added wait time of delivery. So, my plan of having a sandwich as i arrive at the store failed. But, for everyone else check out the App it's really faster ordering in the App than standing in line. Also, being a Wendy's member earns you rewards. The spicy chicken sandwich was good. I will buy again with my next coupon.

TANIA needs to learn how to have better customer service. She is the only one that is ever rude and has an attitude every single morning.

Placed order through the app and when i got to the window cashier was extremely annoyed and rude and in a very rude tone told me “it’s not ready move over and wait 5 minutes” when i said ok and asked for some extra sauce again in a very irritated voice she stated “you have to pay for it” again i said ok and payed then she had me move. I don’t know how they still have business with a person like that. This was on a Friday around noon.

This place is going down hill for service, last week I was here for breakfast, they messed up my order, I ordered a sandwich with bacon on it, and they gave me a sausage instead, today I go there again and the sandwich was double wrapped looked like someone had returned it and they just put an extra wrap and gave it to me. That's it, I'm not coming back

I like the Wendy's. I used to go there in Japan decades years ago. I'm happy that can eat a real Wendy's in the U.S! This was my second time, the staff was...cool (other staff was very friendly at my first time). But I was surprised by amount of fries. I ordered a S size but fries are overflowing.

It's probably the worst Wendy's I've ever been to. The chicken in the sandwich was like eating cardboard. Very over cooked. The fries were decent though.

This has to be the WORST Wendy's in San Deigo. I've given this place multiple opportunities to prove me wrong, yet they repeatedly fail to provide quality food. If there's a short cut on preparing your food, they're gonna take it. Sandwich, cold. Nuggets, cold. Fries, cold. Lemonade, watered down. I visit this site because I live close but it's worth the drive to go to the other one off the 8. Management, get control of your staff! Would have given this establishment 1 star but I did have a good experience at getting a breakfast combo right when they opened. But that was probably because they didn't have time to pre-cook the food hours in advance.

Complete waste of time. I tried to get a chicken sandwich. They said it would take 6 minutes. I said, no thanks, I'll order a burger instead, that will take 7 minutes.

I got a great idea: Why don't you stay closed until you can function like a normal fast food restaurant.

I ordered on Wendy’s app for a pick order. There is no reminder or anything that this store is closed for water outrage until I got here. And the order has gone through and charged me

ZERO is my rating. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, serves old food to customers. FOOD NOT FRESH COOKED OR HOT. It MEANS NOTHING when you request fresh-cooked food. The staff DOES NOT give customers fresh food. WARNING. CHECK YOUR FOOD BEFORE PULLING OFF. I ordered the BIGGIE BAG. I checked my burger, and it was DRIED OUT AND BLACK-BLACK. I also ordered 10 nuggets. Same thing. Dried out. UNACCEPTABLE. And forget about getting help from staff at this store. Nobody knows nothing. The staff has no concept of valuing customer business. But above all, it speaks volumes about management noncommitment to training for excellent service. BTW, I reported my AWFUL experience. Leslie called to replace my order and instructed .e to ask for Veronica. Veronica was very unprofessional and acted like she had not been advised about my replacement order. I had a most UNPLEASANT interaction with Veronica. Veronica kept asking me, What is your order? Didn't you order a single? And I had to speak up to get other part of my order, 10-piece nuggets. Veronica would not have given me the nuggets Leslie agreed to. And Leslie, your staff still refused to give me my strawberry lemonade unless I paid 50 cents extra. No signs anywhere about extra charge. This store is classbook template for management checked out on all levels at this store and corporate. I WILL NEVER GO TO WENDY'S EVER AGAIN.
