They have a nice setup, however a homeless man reeking of a strong urine smell sat next to me at the bar because there was limited seating. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger that I couldn't even enjoy because he was all I could smell. The worst part is that Moe (the bartender) knew him by name.

First off. If you dont meet Larry then you have failed to meet the entire experience (Jasmine included). This place is an absolute 12/10, it is a place i will plan to visit over and over again, the owner, Jasmine, and Larry make this place feel like you are in the same Cafe from the Friends TV series, its completely comfortable, Amazing Food! ( I heavily recommend the Pork Belly Benedict! The pork belly is absolutely perfect and quite LITERALLY melts in your mouth, next time I wanna see if they will sub the maple syrup for hollandaise.) The entire place has beautiful decorations and hidden little designs all over. You have to go!

I used to really like it here, but I’m very unhappy with the new tipping policy, which has not been well communicated to customers.
They do not follow the industry standard of having bartenders tip out, and instead management collects and redistributes tips based on their own policy.
I was extremely displeased to learn the money I tipped for specific exceptionally service of certain employees is being arbitrarily divided by management’s policies. Tips are earned compensation, not meant for seemingly some harebrained scheme to manipulate labor costs.
I used to come here multiple nights a week specifically because of the staff, but now I have been taking the opportunity to explore other exciting bars in the area.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about the bartenders, bar backs, bouncers, and cooks who work so hard to make this a great place, but management interfering with tips is a slap in the face to the customer.
The entire existence of tips is to allow me to give something to your employees without you meddling with it.
I would also appreciate moving back towards the great beer list around this time last year, it’s less interesting and pretty narrow if you don’t want a hazy. But even if the beer list improves, the tipping issue is disrespectful / dishonest to customers and I’m not alone in this attitude.

Justin was bartending and provided excellent service and beer recommendations. Overall vibe is eclectic and lively. Great place to hang in the evenings with 90s-2010s mix playing during dinner/happy hour and live Karaoke after 9 pm every night.
Stayed in San Diego for 2 weeks and came across this Pub in the last couple of days of my stay and really enjoyed the place, staff were extremely nice, the atmosphere was awesome and drinks and food even better
Definitely gonna return the next time in San Diego
