We went with our family for dinner, granted it was a large group. The pizza was ok and the bacon burger was tasty. The waiter was very soft spoken and did a fair job. Ask me if I wanted a refill on my drink twice, I said yes twice but it never materialized. At time to pay the bill we asked if he could split the bill amongst the family groups of three to four people he said no he couldn’t do that but said “ so split the check into 4 quarters. I ended paying $148 for a 1 pizza, 1 burger and two drinks. Way over priced for mediocre food.

Wednesday night is trivia night 6 pm We had the ribeye steak appetizer.
First time going to Wheat and Water . There were 4 of us and we heard their burgers were awesome. They were short on staff and we tried to be patient but were not offered a beverage until about 15 minutes had passed. The waiter failed to ask how our burgers were to be cooked so we told him “ no pink” on all burgers. When the burgers were served , mine was medium rare and had to be cooked over. The waiter never came back to the table to give us refills on drinks or ask if we needed anything. We had to chase him down to get our bill at the end of dinner. Over all, the food was okay but It will probably be my last time going to Wheat and Water.

My family of four shared a delicious caesar salad (it was huge) and two pepperoni pizzas. We loved everything. Our two boys each ate multiple slices. The only negative is the Fly’s buzzing around the table. They need to do something about that.

Far be it from me to question the process of a pizza master's ultimate machinations, but it sure seemed like this place just dumped half a can of dole pineapple (including the juices) onto a sad ham sandwich, impersonating a slice of pizza -- then decided to charge innocent people $27 for it. A war crime? No. But definitely an affront to any person brave enough to dine here.
The waitress was nice and switched out our imitation Digiorno pizza for a new one, but the margarita also left a lot to be desired.
Bummer bc there aren't many restaurants in the area and this one had potential, aesthetically

Nice neighborhood restaurant, casual, family friendly with a nice service. One of our dishes came late and our waiter gave us 2 extra mocktails on the house. Food is good; plentiful and fresh.

The food is good, but our server was awful, this is coming from someone who was a server was for years, so I am pretty fair in judging service. We figured out why the server didn't care though, they charged a gratuity on parties of 5 or more. It was husband and my 3 kids, I wouldn't really consider that a party, but they do. Moral of the story the service needs to improve. The food runner was busting his butt and actually deserved the tip.

My partner's work hosted an event here last night. The outdoor venue was great and the food was quite tasty, but the real star of the show was our host/bartender Damon. He was proactive, extremely friendly, suggested excellent drinks, and just completely took care of our whole party. It was hands down some of the best service I've seen here in San Diego. Do not hesitate to host your event here - and if you do, be sure to ask for Damon!
