If you are looking for a dog friendly taproom with amazing beer, amazing staff and amazing food then you can stop here because you’ve found it. Been going here for years and would recommend it to anyone and everyone.
Interesting microbrew pub. They brew beers with same ingredients except they use different types of yeasts. They serve food also
Well honestly I didn’t try the food or the beer. We didn’t get a chance to. They closed an hour early-7:00- because no one was there until 5.
They open after lunch and close at dinner time.
I called to see how late they served and got an answer machine. 3 customers and they can’t answer the phone. So I would suggest you go try the place out because I didn’t think they will be in business very much longer.
Neat spot. My only issue is the clientele, which isn't the brewery's fault; very mainstream, toxic male vibe.
Great brews and friendly staff
This is a lab that does a hell of a job masquerading as a brewery! The tap tenders all have deep knowledge of the yeast strains they use and the side by side of the same beer brewed with different yeasts is a great way for any beer geek to get to know their products. We are lucky enough to live in a place where this one is close enough to hit up regularly and you definitely should make a habit of it bc they change up the board so often! World wide lab with flag ship test brewery in SD. What’s not to love about this place!
Not much of a beer drinker but my friend took me here for the pizza and it was delicious. I wish we came with more people so that we could have ordered more food to try.
Got a nice cider on tap. We ordered the Cesar salad and funghi pizza. The Cesar salad was the only salad on the limited food menu. It was a nice portion with crispy romaine and high on the salty anchovies.
The funghi mushroom with pistachio pesto (Yum!) was crispy and very delicious. I'm still thinking of the pizza now!
There are high bar height tables with chairs inside. We sat outside on their heated covered patio with regular tables. There are plenty of parking but business was a bit slow on a Thursday evening.
Probably one of best places to get pizza in San Diego. Oh, and the beer and other food is awesome too ?
Really cool concept that aims to show the difference that different yeasts can make on the final product.(+) Vibe - nice indoor and outdoor area. Dog friendly.(+) Beers - really cool side by sides to show the yeast differences.(+) Pizza - the white mushroom pizza was really good, we added sausage.(+) Friendly service.Would go again.
Whenever we go to San Diego and have the opportunity we visit white la s. For us, the exercise of trying the same style of beer with two different yeasts is very interesting. On this occasion we also needed some raw material and the guy who served us at the bar was very kind and saw a way to fill our order at once. A person from the warehouse came and in a matter of minutes opened the account for us as customers and gave us what we were looking for.

I came here for a networking event and was blown away! The food, service, and beer were all so top notch. Highly recommend you making the trip out there!
Fun to try different yeast styles side by side. They have food and are very dog friendly.
Awesome beer and Friday night trivia was so much fun!
Solo business traveler in the mood for a good craft beer and a bite to eat. Happy I found White Labs! The very knowledgeable Taylor helped me choose the perfect flight. And Derrick's sliders - can I just say bacon jam?!?! So so so good. Stop by if you are in the area - or just make the trip there. I know I'll be back.
Great beer highly recommend the London Fog Hazy IPA
