Really cool concept that aims to show the difference that different yeasts can make on the final product.(+) Vibe - nice indoor and outdoor area. Dog friendly.(+) Beers - really cool side by sides to show the yeast differences.(+) Pizza - the white mushroom pizza was really good, we added sausage.(+) Friendly service.Would go again.

Whenever we go to San Diego and have the opportunity we visit white la s. For us, the exercise of trying the same style of beer with two different yeasts is very interesting. On this occasion we also needed some raw material and the guy who served us at the bar was very kind and saw a way to fill our order at once. A person from the warehouse came and in a matter of minutes opened the account for us as customers and gave us what we were looking for.

And Derrick's sliders - can I just say bacon jam?!?! So so so good. Stop by if you are in the area - or just make the trip there. I know I'll be back.

As someone who is gluten free, it is a treat to get an IPA I can drink! The beer was great and the gluten-free pepperoni pizza was outstanding. I wish I didn't live so far away (with traffic) and unfortunately my husband doesn't drink beer so I need to find another date or go solo.

I had the "flight" of two stouts which were the worst stouts I have ever tasted. The beers tasted watery and the color wasn't even close to the dark brown of good, great, and even decent stouts. It was much less deep, almost a grey-brown. While most stouts are nitrogenated, these are carbonated which I don't mind. Rather, I minded the color and above all the taste. Simply terrible. I was disappointed that White Labs is selling this swill. I've always thought highly of them. I even mentioned to the bartender that they were terrible and I wasn't going to finish them. He said ok without offering a refund or even a couple of different tasters. So I walked. Are they under different management? Just so disappointing. (No, I forgot to take photos due to my disappointment.)

Absolutely loved visiting White Labs! It's truly a unique experience that allows you to see how much yeast impacts beer. The food was amazing and of course the beer was also amazing. We had a wonderful time doing the tour with Matt today.
They have bumped up the pricing quite a bit recently...$10 for a pint is a bit much no?.. overall love the place but hoping they can get the pricing back down to normal..

It was super fun to taste the difference between the yeast in the beer with the same mash bill and hop profile. But the base beers are just okay. It worth trying and great to expand the palate but nothing amazing.
