Went to a Turley zin tasting here. Interesting tasting in that you got to taste 4 wines from the same vintage from 4 very distinct growing regions. 2 of the wines were delicious and ready to drink now. The other two bottles were too young (and tannjc?) to fully appreciate. Crackers, bread or snacks to purchase would have been nice

This place is a great dining experience. Four stars because you are kind of outside on a very nice Covered patio.

This is my favorite restaurant ever. We've flown from Seattle just to have a special dinner at the Wine Vault.

Best wine dinners in town. Food and wine pairings are amazing.

First visited eight years ago when we moved to San Diego. Today it is far and away our favorite place to go for dinner on a night out! Their three course menus constantly present new, novel, and delicious combinations. Paired with a wine flight, and it is a total pleasure. Regular wine maker dinners provide even more innovative delights. My unqualified recommendation!

I had an amazing first experience there last night. We had a 7 course meal that was perfectly matched with a variety of French wines. I really enjoyed myself. The Wine importer, owner of the restaurant and the chief all made their rounds and spoke to us about all aspects of the meal and preparation. I would love to go back!

What a unique and wonderful experience. They pour purpose and intention into creating a new menu every week, treating you to what it feels like to be part of a high quality, culinary family. The best food & wine pairings they create each week from hand-sourcing their freshest ingredients in the marketplace, could truly only be elevated if we were dining there at the restaurant to feel right at home.We tasted an incredible Truffle Chicken dish that surprisingly stole the show among the other dishes, only by an overall collective vote though, because all the plates were so delicious, and perfect in portion. This Truffle Chicken paired well with their suggestion of the featured wine “Ramey Pinot Noir wine” and, wow, I cannot describe to you the delicious smell of Truffle hitting your nose with so much detail before you even taste it.The Lamb Shanks and Syrah wine (also featured by Ramey) paired really well, and wow, the Lamb meat…. If you ever get the chance at this dish, order it, share it, pair it & compare it.The pork tenderloin definitely deserves recognition here, and as a delicate meat to choose as a “take out” dish, this is one to look forward to when they start hosting in person again, or if you book a private event there. The sides that came with each dish…Very impressive. Such savory and complimentary sides, and Im going to leave this a secret for you to experience yourself. Expect uniquely crafted items in ways you are only left wondering… “how?”And, the grande finalé… the dessert! This week was a Cherry Jubilee Cheesecake that brought it all home, and paired with a Spanish Orange Brandy, for those who want to fully indulge in the dessert experience. You might THINK you don’t want Cherries Jubilee with your cheesecake, but I’m telling you now… you don’t know, what you don’t know!Just say YES to everything they’re creating there, just as you would to your family if your family were master chefs who cared about your well being with quality food. You cannot be disappointed here, so, grab some friends, order everything they’re offering that week… and share it in a tasting and pairing experience, like family would. What a pleasure. In a world of restaurants of lost art and care for the body, mind, and spirit… the Wine Vault & Bistro may be the last one standing.
