Been coming to the Convoy location since I was a child. Recently rediscovered it. Absolutely best chicken in town. I have had most all spicy chicken spots in SD. This place is a classic with great employees like Clemente the man who's always there making sure you get your food fast and delicious.

As much I can say it’s a good place to go I don’t think I would eat here anymore I order some wings and when eating the food it had to much sauce on my wings and and literally 30 minutes had upset stomach and felt like Puking and had to rush to the bathroom and had massive upset stomach would not recommend ordering food I just feel sick after that

Absolute favorite comfort food as far as fast food goes! The latest and greatest that I'm hooked on is the Chicken Rice Bowl with the mild buffalo sauce and an extra tender. I've tried it with the medium sauce, but the spice overpowers the chipotle ranch dressing that they put on it, which is SO yummy! (I'm not really fond of any chipotle flavor, but Epic's chipotle ranch dressing on the Rice Bowl is the BOMB!😋) I used to go to the location on Midway Dr in San Diego, but it closed, so the Convoy St location is where I go now. It was my brother's favorite location to go to twice a week for years until he passed away two years ago, and he's the one who took me there for the first time. The staff at Convoy are so friendly and the atmosphere is fun whenever I go.

This is the closest Epic Wings to the UCSD campus and I mean when Im craving wings it’s kind of the go to. The food is honestly always good although a bit pricy but that’s also kind of expected if you consider the area and the amount of food you’re getting.
I personally vote for the Tenders Meal that comes with: 4 Tenders, 2 Bread, Celery & Carrots, and 1 Ranch. I’m a religious Medium Buffalo kinda person at these kinds of wing places so that’s the only thing I can full heartedly recommend. My friend is also a medium person, just cause hot has a weird flavor almost like chamoy which I really dislike.
The interior is also really spacious and they have the news playing. I didn’t even realize watching the news could be so entertaining and the bathrooms are clean with no code needed to enter. They even asked if I wanted a water cup, overall sweet people and nice place. I’ve been here and I’ll definitely be back.
